Visited for the first time on Easter Sunday with relatives and would highly recommend The Hesketh Arms. Excellent menu that didn't overface us and when the food arrived we were not disappointed! Deliciously hot food (served on hot plates which is always a must for me). Sadly we were unable to manage a dessert!

Popped into Hesketh Arms by chance when driving past hungry. Thank you so much for having a Vegan Menu!!!!! The food was absolutely lovely and well priced. My partner ate from the general menu and thought the same. Would definately recommend and I would go out of my way to return to this place again in the future.

Great food, excellent quick service and nice spacious surrounds. Large car park to the rear and not expensive. Well worth a trip out next time you fancy a drink or food. It's also family friendly with baby changing facilities. Couldn't recommend highly enough suitable for couples or large gatherings

Lots of parking is available, outdoor seating and children's play areas. Inside is nice with an old world feel, toilets immaculate. Service was very pleasant and polite but food took 45 minutes to arrive. Advised that all the tomatoes had been used so not available as described on menu. Steaks about £18-22, sides about £4. All of us enjoyed the food. Rump steak shown, no tomato, no side.

First impressions: cosy and popular place, this is why it was quite busy (we were there on a bank holiday Monday). First we just popped in for a drink but then decided to have dinner too, even if we have to wait for our table. The food was just the usual pub grub, the staff was above average.

Very caring staff, felt very welcome as soon as I entered. Good, proper beers good pub style food. Not an extensive choice, but what we had was good. A plus for us, we could eat indoors with our dog and there were bowls and biscuits. Happy dog, happy owners that can relax and spend a little bit longer. Thank you!

We love it at the Hesketh Arms. We live within walking distance and they always look after us . It’s our favourite place to have lunch or dinner and in our opinion one of the best pub restaurants we’ve ever visited . Wonderful staff , fantastic atmosphere, excellent food , extremely well run and we are very fortunate to have this amazing place on our doorstep . Highly recommend! Ryan P.

Lovely food and attentive service. We were there more or less at opening time for lunch and it was very quiet which suited us! Much busier by the time we left. Will most definitely go back.

What a pub. Fantastic selection of ales from around the north west. Plus some drinks that other people like. The food was top notch too, as was the service and atmosphere - everyone was smiling! Oh and theres a massive play area outside with tables so you can watch the kids whilst they have fun. Will definitely be back.

Very nice, local village gastro pub. Lovely menu and still full of flavour and variety post COVID lockdown and with very workable social distancing measures in place. We had: patè, chicken strips and garlic ciabatta as starters. Sirloin steak, gammon, southern fried chicken burger and a prime beef burger as mains. All cooked superbly and tasted fantastic.

Driven past a few times but this was the first time in. Huge building with lots of tables to choose from all laid out perfectly. Light & airey with a great menu selection. Lady who sat us down & took our order was both professional & jovial. I had the regular fish & chips & Mrs P had the chicken & bacon bloomer sandwich with rocket & lettuce . Now I am 'Mr Fish n Chips' (I love it) so the bench mark was high!. Not disappointed at all as the fish was fresh, crispy, non greasy & the fillet was chunky & meaty) served with chunky chips, a wedge of lemon, tartare sauce & mushy peas...absolutely delish!!!. Mrs P commented on how much filling there was in hers & even ate it all (a rarity for her!). Being a big lad I could have done with a few more chips & Mushy Peas but it's not a massive issue. All washed down with a draught Peroni each this was a pleasant treat & great Value for Money. Definitely worth a visit. Next time we're up 'Rufford' way, we'll be in again.

First time visiting here. Just myself and my Dad who has dementia. It was nice and quiet on a Wednesday lunch time which suited us. Staff very helpful and friendly. Love the original features of the place. We had fish and chips and the burger. Possibly the best burger I've had. Definitely will be calling in here again. Would recommend. Quite reasonable too.

Large country pub in Rufford, having a good beer selection and pub grub. Would recommend booking in advance if looking to have a meal especially if you are a large group.
