I must say that we were positively surprised by this pub. Stepping in felt like stepping in a time capsule back to 1999, which we liked. The pub looks like it has been lived in for a long time. It has a hidden decking facing the church which is much better then the one that faces the road. The food
A lovely village pub, passed by whilst we were cycling in the area and dropped in about 8:30pm. The landlord was just about to close up as it was a quiet night but stayed open just for us. Great service and a lovely peaceful location.
We were part of a reasonably sized group and were made to feel very welcome. Food was great - fish platter is highly recommended. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff were super helpful.

We arrived just past lunch time, so no food was being served. We were lucky enough that the owner rustled up some left over pies for us. Super friendly of him to go out of his way for two starving folk.
