We ate a delicious meal in the evening sunshine. Friends ate fish'n'chips, Thai veg curry. Husband and started with amazing pork belly and I had mixed mushrooms on toast (fab flavour) then both relished best beef burger I've eaten in a long time. Highly recommended plus great friendly staff.

Had a really amazing meal at The Fox last night. I can't believe we haven't eaten here before and it is literally just done the road. The T-bone steak was one of the best I've ever had and perfectly accompanied with unusual vegetables. Dessert also 5*. Staff attentive. Atmosphere perfect. As a local Airbnb host I will be recommending The Fox to all our guests. Thank you!

Had a delicious lunch today at The Fox Inn. The broth was superb and the mussels in creamy cider were stunning! Best mussels I've had in a while. Lucy our waitress was charming and full of knowledge of the menu and the provenece of the ingredients. A real pleasure to eat there, a really really lovely local pub and we can't wait to get back! Thank you very much and hats off to chef :)

The Fox Inn is one of the most amazing Inns we‘ve visited during our time in the UK. We were welcomed friendly & felt comfortable immediately. The staff was lovely & caring. The food was absolutely amazing, we haven‘t eaten that good for a while!!! We loved the wine, the atmosphere, the backyard and the furniture. If we‘re ever in the area again, we‘ll definitely come here again.

A solid country pub which serves a simple Sunday menu, providing roast dinners for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The portions are large. The sides feed more than one. There is no children’s menu. Instead, children may have a half portion of any of the mains, which is a welcome move against more chicken nuggets and the like. The vegetables were cooked to perfection save for the roast potatoes which lacked the giving crispy crunch and the fluffy interior.

Had a pleasant sunday lunch. Fast and friendly service. Fresh food served in a nice garden. Had their roasted brisket sandwich with proper French fries. Recommended. Do book at week-ends.

Lovely pub. Excellent service. Huge portions of food. Had the fish and chips. Home made tartare sauce not tart enough for me. Fish was nice, chips average. Hope this feedback helps.

Warm welcome. Great setting sitting at a trestle table overlooking a grassy lawn sloping away and a huge ash tree at the end of the garden. The fish and chips were superb, crispy batter, very fresh cod, and hand cut chips with the skins on. The Chenin blanc went well. We ordered a half portion of fish for my wife, in the event the waiter brought a full portion instead. Realising his mistake, he only charged for a half. The relish could have had more flavour; the crumble was the best on the dessert menu and was excellent. Altogether a great meal in a green leafy setting.

Food was very enjoyable. Slightly disappointed with the roast potatoes, but that's just me being picky! I cook lovely roasties! Service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Overall a lovely place for Sunday lunch. Would recommend.

This is what a pub / pub food is all about ! All four of us struggled to pick something because it was all so good we wanted to order half a dozen things. I had the meatball sandwich with soup and salad. All three parts were delicious. 10/10 GO ! You will be very pleasantly surprised

What a great find for a Sunday roast! We stumbled across this pub on a drive over to Winkworth Arboretum. I tried to book online but it was past 3 o’clock so we just turned up on the off chance the kitchen was still open. We turned up at 3:30 and they were still serving roasts and they were still very busy but sorted a table for us. I had roast lamb and my husband had the mixed meat roast and they were delicious and meat was tender. They do half sized roasts for children, so my daughter had roast chicken. Desert was a sticky toffee pudding for me and apple crumble for my husband. Highly recommend
