Enjoyed a lovely meal, the food was absolutely delicious. Just a shame about our waiter, he was attentive but lacked knowing when to approach...my husband was still chewing his mouth full as the empty plate was taken away yet our drinks went dry. We will return to try the Sunday lunch as soon as we can.
Just had a wonderful night's stay at Banyers House. The hotel decor and attention to detail is superb. The room was amazing, complete with huge bathroom and wet room shower. Very tastefully decorated with the right mix of old and new. Our evening meal was delicious, very attentive, friendly staff in both the restaurant and bar. Took my husband for a birthday lunch. We had the hot salmon and calamari starters followed by the fillet steaks, the food was well presented, well cooked and excellent value. The staff were very helpful and Dawn our waitress could not do enough to make are lunch special. Will definitely recommend and return.
Had a drink in bar first, beautifully decorated nice music playing, a really nice feel about the place, the staff really friendly.

The new home for our networking group BNI The Force , it was an amazing morning all the staff are very helpful and the room layout was fab , all followed by breakfast!!! We can’t thank you enough can’t wait for Wednesdays now !!!

We stayed two nights while visiting friends nearby and highly recommend Banyers House. The room was freshly remodeled but still had the historical touches, the bathroom was beautiful, huge and modern. Staff were attentive to us and very friendly. Breakfast was served from 7 to 11 and that made it easy to fit into our jet-lagged schedule - both pastries and coffee set out and a hot menu of delicious eggs and other dishes. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night with our local friend and the food was delicious with a choice of traditional British fare as well as a wide variety of other dishes. Great location within walking distance of the train station and in the center of town.
Restaurant has beautiful interior, light, spacious, great view in the back garden of the trees. The service was slow so you need to not be in a rush. But the food was delicious. I went twice in one week. For Sunday lunch with family. Best Sunday lunch I've ever had out. Also went for a work lunch. I had a salad which was fantastic. Everyone from work said their meal was great. The food on the more expensive side but good quality food, nice portion size, good kids menu. Highly recommend. I will be returning.
Stayed here while attending a wedding nearby, so only in the hotel for a short while!
The staff were excellent on booking and arrival, able to facilitate an early check in at noon for a £20 fee.
The room itself was nearly very nice but was worn and a bit tired. Biggest issues were the air con grinding every 10 minutes and there being no hot water…

We recently had our wedding reception at the Banyers. The building itself is wonderful. We used the function room and booked a couple of the hotel rooms for getting ready and staying the night of the wedding. Everything is well presented and clean, a great setting for wedding photographs and all around a comfortable place to be!
What really blew us away is the staff here. When we approached the Banyers we met our coordinator Hannah and we were instantly put at ease and so excited to work more with her. Our wedding was short notice but it was never a problem. We felt like we could ask Hannah anything and we very much did! We met several times to update plans and we were always met with a smile and a fun experience.
We also got to meet the head chef and sample his wedding menu, what a mindblowing afternoon that was! All of the food is delicious and we could tell how much pride and effort he and the kitchen team put into their work. The process of ordering our food was simple and pricing was very clear for the various options available. They are super flexible which was great.
When the wedding finally came, Hannah was always close by making sure it all ran smoothly and offering any help we needed. The rest of the staff were also absolutely amazing. From being there late with us setting up the night before, to packing things down the day after. We got to spend several hours with them across our time there and they are a really friendly and caring bunch. Cannot thank them enough for all their help!
The wedding turned out super special and intimate, we absolutely made the right choice holding it at the Banyers House and will be customers at the restaurant many times in the future!
One of the best rooms we've stayed in for a long time. Huge room, bed and bathroom with pretty much everything you need for a relaxing stay. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again. Some road noise from passing cars but wasn't to bad. Ample parking and lots of different areas to sit.
I held my 40th Birthday party at The Banyers in their lounge and cannot recommend it enough. Hannah went out of her way to be helpful from the moment I met with her and ensured that everything ran like clockwork. Pre-ordered drinks were set out ready for guests arriving and were replenished throught the night. The same with the delicious pizzas and the service was impeccable! Drinks topped up throught the night, the cake was cut up perfectly and drinks ordered from the bar quickly.
Thank you so much Hannah and team for making it a night to remember. I will be recommending The Banyers to friends!!
We had a coffee and a very nice restful sit in the lovely garden at Banyers House after a visit to Royston Caves. The hotel looks very nice and is a popular place to eat I think, because it was very busy. Service good, a little slow, but it was very busy.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Banyers House on Friday and we had the most amazing day. Hannah and her team were fantastic and can’t praise and thank them enough, they helped and took care of every want and need nothing was to much trouble.
The food was amazing all our guests said so.

On Friday the 14th of April I was lucky enough to marry my beautiful wife and hold our wedding reception at Banyers House. We had the most amazing day and all of our guests loved the venue and food. Hannah (our wedding planner) and her team were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for them, they made our day go seamless, I can’t praise them highly enough. As a chef the food was excellent, some of the tastiest food I’ve had the pleasure to eat in a long time. A few guest even stated it’s the best wedding they have ever been too. Lovely staff, stunning venue and exquisite food. Great wedding packages and lovely rooms available, especially the honeymoon suite, super comfortable bed and stunning bathroom with a lovely big bath. I highly recommend anyone to hold their wedding at this wonderful venue.
Banyers House will be our go to venue for future celebrations.
Beautiful pub in a lovely location. Only giving it 4 stars purely owing to the limited number of vegan items on the brunch menu. Otherwise, lovely staff and a great place to grab a drink.

Lovely birthday meal with the family. Bethan was lovely, personable, helpful, professional and very friendly. We all enjoyed our meals ans the service was great. My French martini was very sweet amd not great, but no complaints about anything g else.
Very reasonably priced breakfast with good variety; catered for food allergy.
Staff were very accommodating and we were pleased with service from the waitress and manageress.
Had an excellent dinner recently. Liked the food, ambience as well as the very courteous staff, one of whom my toddler may have fallen in love with. Will definitely visit again to have that sea bass with rice.
Wonderful Wedding at Banyers House, Royston. Lovely day supported by the excellent Hannah and her brilliant staff. Nothing too much trouble, day went so smoothly, cannot recommend enough for a Wedding Reception. Food and drink top notch. All future parties will be at Banyers House.
