Had a lovely Christmas yesterday with family, food was excellent! Roast potatoes were scrummy! Service 100%, there were a large number of us and were all looked after, would def recommend this friendly pub to anyone - the food was all fresh (not frozen) well worth the price :-)

We popped in for lunch I was just going to have a jacket potato but found they had a gluten free menu. I had chicken skewer which was a welcome change. The young lady that served us was very welcoming and looked after us. All in all a lovely lunch experience, well done..

Quick serving, friendly staff and tasty food. It was a quick lunch visit during the working week and we'd definitely go back. Of course the glorious sunshine (for 1 day) and sitting outside is always an added bonus.

My husband had the monkfish here Saturday night and has not stopped raving about it ever since! Friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend and re-visit when we are in the area again.

Enjoyed a good pint of Guinness in a relaxed environment. You can also eat here. There's a smallish car park area at the back. Nice to sit at the front on a hot day!

We arrived at the Crusader, It was a cold autumn afternoon aproximatly 3:37pm. I reversed the car into one of the far spaces towards the back of the pub along a row of trees. We walked in through the back entrance to find a group of locals sitting at the table nearest to the bar. They looked, we looked, we were not familiar faces but they could recognise we ment no harm. The bar maid greeted us with a smile, her energy was warm and pure. She poured me a stout and an IPA for my companion then we ordered chips. We sat down at the dinning area by the window on the soft seating provided. It was cosy, before much time had passed the food arrived and we tucked into the tastey grub. After that well-needed feast we set to work writing poetry and sketching Junkyard Mermaids on the pages of our handmade books from scraps. The time had crept upon us, and we had to depart. Before leaving I used the facilities which where warm, very warm. The whole experience was warm on that cold Autumn afternoon.
