What a find. We unexpectedly ended up in Royal Tunbridge Wells on a Thursday night and stumbled across this buzzing, full Italian restaurant. Amber glow through the window, customers laughing, eating and drinking - we had to be part of this vibe. The host waitress was charming and gave us their last table upstairs ( a table for 5 but immediately cleared to accommodate the 2 of us) we had one of the best nights for a long time. We sampled some delicious and well executed dishes, plenty of good red wine, cosy comfortable surroundings ( we were the last to leave 😬) and excellent service. Our upstairs waitress ( with the marathon running boyfriend) was first rate and an absolute joy. We met the charming owner, born and bred in Lake Como. He runs a happy tight ship and we wish them all well.
LagodiComo Bar and Restaurant is a charming Italian restaurant located in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, as well as a varied selection of mains and pastas. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive.
The service at LagodiComo was excellent. The owner Mayteo was very knowledgeable about the menu, and he made some great recommendations. He also made sure that my water glass were always full, and he checked in regularly to make sure that I was enjoying my meal.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at LagodiComo. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian meal.
This is one the hidden gems in Royal Tunbridge Wells. The homemade focaccia and pistachio tortini dessert are the best I’ve ever tried and highly recommended. The mains and drinks are good too however the standout is the customer service. I made a special request before booking and the whole team went above and beyond to fulfil it and despite being very busy they were very accommodating and generous when I ran a little. I’d definitely give more than 5 stars if there is an option. Highly recommended place
This place is lovely. If you want to have a romantic night out or share an evening with friends this is the place to visit. The staff make sure that your experience is perfect. Matteo is absolutely delightful and charming. Nothing is too much! Dining there in summertime is a must as the restaurant has the ability to use its candle lit terrace, which also has heaters, British summer!! We’ve never ordered takeaway so can’t rate that, but who needs takeaway when dining in can be so good!!
Amazing food, attentive (but not overbearing) service, and the outdoor space is wonderful. Focaccia was amazing!
We booked a table here on Friday 27th October. We were travelling from North Essex to a gig and thought the menu here looked amazing for our pre gig meal. We were not disappointed the food was amazing and reasonably priced too. We were running late due to worse traffic than usual on a Friday on the M25 so I phoned ahead to say we weren't going to make it. They could not have been more accommodating and held the table for us. Wonderful food, wonderful service! I would highly recommend Locodicomo.
They managed to squeeze in our reservation last minute, very helpful and polite also the carbonara is incredible! I will definitely be returning!
Absolutely fabulous! Loved the buzzy atmosphere, authentic Italian food and superb, friendly service! Great to have an independent, family run local Italian restaurant.
We love this place, we go multiple times a year most recently for the wife’s birthday. Food always amazing really really top quality Italian food service has always been great. Will continue coming back
After months of waiting to dine at Lago the opportunity finally arrived yesterday and it was certainly worth the wait. Matteo who is the owner and host recommended a few dishes to us which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The quality of the food was superb and being a foodie you can tell that the ingredients used are some of the best and more importantly fresh! We had the squid ink linguine with lobster tail, spicy king prawn with cannellini beans, truffle infused Parma ham with burrata, the 5 hour braised lamb and then followed those with the tiramisu and their Torta del Nonno.
Their wine menu was also very extensive catering for many palettes, preferences and budgets. We enjoyed a wonderful Brunello di Montalcino 2015 from La Palazzetta but for those who love a Tuscan they do have Tignanello 2018 on the menu.
We are looking forward to returning and sharing more great moments.
