We had a meal at The Black Pig in their 'cow shed' private dining room after our wedding ceremony. The food was absolutely perfect and amazing value for money, their pork belly was the best I've ever tasted. Everything came out together and no issues with any of the food served. The staff were very accommodating both leading up to the day and also during the meal. We decided to pre order but that wasn't compulsory despite having a large table of 19 plus 2 kids. We had full use of the private dining room with no extra charge all the way up to close and were able to relax and enjoy our evening with no fuss or hassle.
Big thank you to the Black Pig for hosting a perfect and affordable post wedding meal that didn't rip you off simply because it's wedding related. Very impressed and will definitely be returning to eat there again as, I'm sure, will others who ate with us.
We went for late lunch. The selection of food is superb ( possibly more vegetarian/vegan options would be good). Extremely good value for money and a great place to sit and enjoy life.

OK selection of beers and a good wine list without too many options.
Catered well for the vegan in our group - email ahead though.

Beautiful food, excellent attentive friendly service. Warm atmosphere with a cool clean cut decor. Ample sized dining table and sumptuous leather seating. Handy car park to the rear. Fun dinner with friends. A faultless evening had at The Black Pig.
Excellent Christmas lunch for our group of 10 friends. Lovely service too. The food is really delicious and imaginative. Roaring log fire and Christmas decorations makes it a cozy place in the festive season.
Had our company Xmas meal here. The scotch egg starter is delicious, the steak burger was amazing and the puddings were all spectacular. Service was also great, offering a genuine and friendly attitude.
Welcoming friendly atmosphere. A tastefully decorated comfortable pub with a good choice of beers and lagers. I didn't eat there this time but the food looked great and I will certainly be eating there in the near future

Amazing food. We dropped in here for Sunday lunch. Had seen it recommended online so expected something perhaps slightly above average but it was really very tasty.
I had duck which was cooked to perfection with lovely crispy skin and moist, flaky meat. My friend had hake - the portion was large and it was done perfectly, it's easy to overcook white fish like that. We'd been to Toulouse the week before - the home of foie gras and duck confit etc and the duck I had here was easily as good. The food flavours and textures were wonderful, crispy roast potatoes etc. Also nothing was over salted as you often find in restaurants in my experience which I hate.
I was very tempted to have a dessert - they also looked fantastic but in the end decided against it. Will def go back if we're in TW again sometime.
Only complaint is that the kitchen is open so the smoke and fumes tend to fill the fairly small restaurant area and when you get out, your clothes smell like the kitchen! However I think it's possible to sit elsewhere in the pub. Service was generally friendly and although we waited for the food for a while, it was worth it.
Service... Excellent. Food... Excellent. We had a roast dinner with my family today as we couldn't get to our usual pub as traffic. So pleased we found somewhere so friendly especially the waitress and waiter!
An absolutely stellar evening with friends, made even more memorable thanks to the food. We travelled with friends from both London and Paris, and were super impressed by the quality of the food. Heck, even the humble (read crass) scotch egg is quite the treat here. The pork belly and fish and chips which we tried were all delectable; the wine is a tad overpriced for what it is so perhaps the owners will invest further thought over some better Sauvignons and Picpouls and Sancerres which would be far better in quality if they want to retain the current price marks. Faultless - if you are in the town you have got to go.
Popped in later in the evening with my wife and had a main course only. Service was great. The wine was just right and the cod and pork belly main couses were perfect. We sat outside in the small garden area. Lovely atmosphere - busy but intimate. Overall highly recomended.
Delicious Sunday roast with several options. Price reasonably with good service, comfortable seating and large tables oak tables. I will be coming back again.
Good atmosphere and good range of beer. G&T skills are excellent. I know there is food but we were only there for drinks. Great pub and staff.

Came here for a family dinner with the in-laws. Mother in-law forgot how lovely a carrot and coriander soup could be and the father in-law said the scotch egg starter was the best starter he had ever had. The rest of the night was just as successful.
