Visited The Compasses last night for dinner with friends. This is the first time we've been there and we were all blown away by the fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Lovely, cosy pub feel and although there was a band playing (they were really good too), we were able to chat and enjoy our food

A lovely pub, great value food and ales. Staff were very friendly and polite. Interior is very clean and with a pleasant ambience. Very pleasant beer gardens, one large fronting the road and a smaller more intimate one to the rear at the side. Would highly recommend this pub.
My family and I love coming to the compasses. It has such a welcoming and cosy atmosphere, helped by the wonderful team behind the bar! The food is fantastic, and has something for everyone- would highly recommend!

Great find, totally unexpected! Team very helpful, food was incredible, good value for money and good portion sizes, pub was busy on a windy day but the atmosphere was buzzing inside. Tennis was on too, so that was also a bonus. We’ll be back for a Sunday roast for sure.

Visited last night and a big improvement. The ridiculous one way system is gone so the tension has too. The upper bar has nice tuck and roll seating and the new manager was very friendly and welcoming.

It is a very nice country style pub in the middle of Tunbridge Wells. Log Fires burning yesterday, bringing that quintessential English charm to a pub on a chilly spring day.

A huge outdoor area for sunny days and a cool traditional style interior was a choice for us. We went indoors as we found a quiet corner- perfect with two dogs and a pram. We all ate well. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Visited for dinner on a Monday evening. Great atmosphere and a really pretty pub with plenty of character and a good selection of ales. Alex served us and took great care of us, going above and beyond, and even knew a bit about the pub history too! The food by the chef Sam was absolutely brilliant,
