Absolutely stunning visually, great atmosphere, staff were lovely.
Only problem was my scampi was cold when I got it, it was taken back and a new meal made which was okay.
We stopped in for lunch, ordered Katsu curry, Nachos & cauliflower curry. Was pleasantly surprised & enjoyed it all thoroughly. Great value for money.
Wow what an impressive building from the front and stepping through the entrance it gets better but that still is not anywhere near as impressive as the main dining area.
This has got to be the best pub I was visiting London for the week and just had to get on a train and visit just to experience this place and then back to London.
I love how it literally feels like they did their last performance and the next day opened up as a wetherspoon pub.
This place really is worth a long distance travel just to experience it I did and I loved it.
Also the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great.
This place deserves more than the maximum 5 stars.
Great place! Food is good for the price! Parking might be a problem.
A JDW in an old theatre on a promenade high street. Located in a jaw droppinglying beautiful interior as much of the old theatre is preserved, including the ornament ceiling and wall plastering and gold leaf. The centre of which hangs a 4 tier chandelier. There are many small balconies running up the sides and one can imagine couples there on a Friday and Saturday night out. The stalls (theatre sesting removed) and proscenium stage are filled with abundant seating. The upper circle still has the original seats in place.
There is a small secluded seating area in the yard.
The food was good hot and prompt to arrive. The staff were warm and welcoming.
Without doubt the mist stunning JDW I've set foot in.
Certainly a must go visit if in the area!
Got to be one of the most ornate Wetherspoons in the country.
Be careful. You don't spill your beer looking up and around this place.
Nice place to enjoy a meal and a great old opera house .
Great pub. Nice food, brilliant atmosphere. The steak was a bit chewy, will call again and maybe have the chicken.
Very impressive looking building for a weatherspoons!, 😊, in the town centre good beers and service 👍
Food and service typical of Wetherspoons. Not great , just really good value .
It's the venue that's set's this place aside. Amazing, and I really love the fact that one day a year, it reverts back to being a theatre !
Beautiful setting to eat, but rather noisy at times. Good food at a very reasonable price and a good fast service. Free hot drink refills for breakfast are an absolute winner. Shame that the venue is spoiled a bit by modernity (slot machines and neon signs), but altogether worth a visit just for the stupendous interior if nothing else.
Such a gr8 pub with friendly people.
Food is top notch, cheap and yummy.
The drinks are brilliant and also affordable.
The service can be brilliant.

I was in Monday lunchtime. It was fairly quiet. I ordered on the app and received my drink within 5 minutes, and food within 10. I always order my steak medium as it seems to come medium rare (as it did today). Excellent service and good value food and drink. Amazing setting
Very good place to meet people and stay for a while.
Unfortunately, fish 'n chips were on the menu bit not available. The pizza was not the greatest, but the lasagna was delicious.
Overall good value for price in a rather unique atmosphere.
