The most AMAZING team and cuisine..!! My wedding day was made so so special thanks to this lovely bunch of flawless professionals and their out of this world taste sensations. From the salads, quiche, frittata, curried coleslaw, brownies, banoffee, down the cheese board, my wedding day is still being talked about, and it is the food that is the main topic of conversation... In the words of Mary Poppins it was "Simply Scrumptious". I can not recommend you enough. From my first correspondance to my last, you were an absolute pleasure to work with. I would hire you again in a heart beat. Thank you Basil so so much for everything X

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best place to eat in Tunbridge Wells town centre. I have never had a bad meal, cakes are heavenly and the service is friendly and attentive. Highlights are their amazing brownies, salads and sausage rolls. Just perfect.

I had the absolute pleasure of lunching for the very first time at Basil this week. We arrived early as we had been warned that this place gets busy early and that certainly was the case. We started with delicious flat white coffee and then went on to lunch! The salads are out of this world and can only be described as "sexy"!; deep filled and delicious quiches and filo tarts/pies and homemade cakes that will make you cry with delight! We didn't have room for dessert but took a box full of goodies home with us to enjoy with the rest of the family! Cheerful and friendly staff gave a super service despite being a very busy Friday lunchtime.

So great to find a cafe that has outstanding customer service!! I struggle with food intolerances and the staff here were extremely patient and also came up with some great ideas for me while my children ate fantastic cakes!! I can also honestly say this was the best coffee I have ever had in the UK!!!

Had a very tasty lunch today. We decided on quich & salad as it was a lovely sunny day. The waitress (sadly I didn't catch her name) explained the choices in a very helpful way. She was always smiling & attentative. Can't wait to visit again.

Very nice! Good atmosphere. Freshly prepared food. My daughter and I both had toasted panini and a lovely side salad. Good value for money. Only slight criticism I did feel a little squashed in. Maybe one table out would make all the difference. Very tempted by the variety of delicious cakes as we left but I managed to resist! 1

Always love to go here for lunch! So friendly and great food and atmosphere! Had a selection of my favourites delivered for my party last Saturday and it was such an easy process from beginning to end! Food was stunning and they even delivered the salads in returnable bowls! Perfect! Thank you Basil!

The Saturday before Christmas was busy but managed to find a table. The staff were good at finding tables and chairs for people. Unlike the Tonbridge one it seems they do table service. I chose the Christmas sausage roll and the sweet potato chick pea salad. The roll was nice and flaky but not as tasty as a normal sausage one. However the salad was lovely. It doesn't look that attractive but it was very tasty. I've never eaten the skin of a butternut squash but the pieces in the salad were beautiful roasted and soft. It seemed this was the most popular salad as I saw several others go for it and I'd certainly have it again.

Basil's is my secret treat. They have some of the best cake in town. Always fresh and tasty. Their salads are wonderful too. If you want a fresh, open space with good atmosphere and food there isn't anywhere else this end of town that rivals it. Service has occasionally been a little slow but not too much to worry about. Maybe I don't remember that clearly but once a little while ago I had to order and then go and collect my drinks from the counter. I didn't like that very much and the usual table service is much nicer... It feels more of a treat as opposed to the 'usual' coffee shop experience.

very popular cafe but NOT a greasy spoon. A good selection of alternative foods. Cafe was busy, service was polite and efficient. There was a good 'vibe'.

Food was delicious. The best pancakes. Smoothies very good. Lovely to sit in the sun. Odd covid rule about not giving the table a jug of water instead the poor waitress runs back and forth refilling the smallest water glasses. Maybe larger glasses for the water if jugs are banned.

Good food, service was a little slow unfortunately (tail end of the lunch rush). The goats cheese quiche was really great. Also dog friendly
