Absolutely amazing! Service was impeccable, food was gorgeous and presented beautifully! Nothing too much trouble and staff extremely accommodating would highly recommend anyone to go here for a fantastic dining experience
Although we hadn't booked, we received the warmest welcome from the lovely staff last night who found us a table while we enjoyed a glass of Champagne in the bar. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great with the pianist who had officially clocked off after playing for hours even agreeing to sing "Have I told you lately?" at my husband's request! Would recommend the wild boar and langoustine main course - not something you'd have at home.
If you want classy food in twells, this is the place to go. Fab food and amazing service. Highly recommend.
Very good menu superb food excellent presentation we had a great evening at this restaurant the staff were friendly the atmosphere great not forgetting the wine .Good luck to you all in your new adventure.
This is my favourite local restaurant, and one of my favourites in overall. The food, service and ambience are all spot on. Been going here for a while and love the menu, seasonal ingredients, and the fact they constantly seem to be trying to improve in any way they can.
Great place to eat, the staff are fabulously friendly.Amazing food :-)
Really tasty food, excellent service, a perfect recommendation on wine, beautiful venue. Definitely 5 stars from me!
Well worth a visit. Interesting menu all from local produce. Charismatic staff and relaxing atmosphere.
Excellent meal served by excellent staff! A very warm and inviting atmosphere
Had an amazing pre-Christmas lunch at the Warren food was superb and the service was fantastic I highly recommend 👍🏼
Lovely food, excellence staff (especially Amy) the service was amazing and the cauliflower soup is a winner!
Decided to try somewhere new to satiate my Sunday Roast cravings and really happy that we decided to give The Warren a chance. It’s on the high street of Tunbridge Wells and you go up some stairs and you reach the restaurant level. It’s got a balcony and really lovely views of the high street. Service was fantastic and the lady was amazing (I unfortunately don’t have her name).
Absolutely loved the decor and the food was extremely tasty and of a high standard. Overall, really enjoyed it and I highly recommend!
Booked for a two year anniversary meal with my partner, the bookings were limited for dinner, so I had to book for 4pm, which was changed to 3pm by the restaurant. So book well in advance to get the time you want.
The restaurant entrance is tucked away, so make sure you aren't walking past it on the way.
Ordered two courses as we were having roasts and didn't think we could finish three. Very reasonable price at around £27 each for a lot of food.
Service was lovely, the gentleman came over and went through the menu with us and completely sold me on the fish and Eton mess. The lady who served us was very pleasant and even brought us some free aperitifs which was nice of her.
The sea bream was perfect, and was well balanced with the rest of the meal so highly recommend that. And the Eton mess was very rich and creamy with Chantilly cream, and homemade meringue.
My stepfather was incredibly fussy and didn't want to cause any problems didn't finish his meal and the lady took that off the bill which was above and beyond. She honestly didn't have to do that for him.
We had a wonderful lunch here to celebrate my husband's Birthday. The food was absolutely excellent, it's a beautiful venue and the staff were really great. They even added a special Birthday touch to the meal. Would definitely recommend!
First time visiting Tunbridge Wells and I couldn't ask for a better restaurant to stay and dine in! Lovely space with very friendly people and the best part.. food! Beautifully prepared dish and reasonable prices too. On Sunday there's a special deal with 2 or 3 course for lunch hours. I'll definitely recommend.
I've been here twice. The first time in 2016, and most recently in mid-2023. It's a huge improvement and the food delicious, especially the pork cheek starter. Excellent service as well. Cheapest bottle of wine is about £26, going up to something like £300. Meal for two was about £125 including tip, which included starter, main and a bottle of wine.
Greeted by a quirky interior and some eccentric, friendly staff, this won’t be to everyone’s tastes or right for a formal or smart/minimal atmosphere but also depends where you’re sitting. The food was excellent from starters to mains, I nearly ordered another steak because it was so tasty and I could have enjoyed a larger portion. That said by the time I’d had desert and more to drink what did I care! They get some of their restaurant produce from their own estate including the beef which obviously makes a difference. As you can see in the picture, the food is beautifully and tastefully presented, a slight juxtaposition to the ambience but in the end you go to a restaurant to eat and for me, although pricey, certainly a £60+ a head job at least the quality married up, thanks guys !
It was our last evening in Kent and we wanted dinner to be delicious and special. We lucked out on both when we chose The Warren on High Street in Royal Tunbridge Wells. From the first greeting by host and server extraordinaire, Magdalena, our experience was a good one. Ordering food and wine was made a pleasure by Magdalena’s generous expertise. Starters included a Feta salad with beets, micro greens and toasted nuts—fresh and colorful with skillfully balanced ingredients. Each of our mains was superb and beautifully presented. My sirloin tagliatelle was creamy and punctuated by juicy, well-seasoned sirloin. My sister raved about the rich flavor of her vegetable tagine. The fresh bread and crispy chips are worth a mention—mouthwatering! The courses were served at a perfect pace, making our dinner a very pleasant event indeed. I highly recommend The Warren and will return as soon as possible.
This place was exactly what I wanted on our drive from Birling Gap back to London. Super quirky vibe, the food was great and our waitress was really kind (despite our parents being picky Americans 😂). We ordered fish, chicken, scallops, Wellington etc and everyone enjoyed their selection.
Ate here before a wedding a few weeks back and the food was immaculate. Busy, so always a good sign. The lamb shank for main was incredible and the venison carpaccio was one of the best starters I’ve ever had.
Lovely place and decor in the centre of TW. Tentative staff, we had a nice chat. Great food, our starters were fab as well as the Sunday roast. One of our party had a birthday and we were made feel special. You must try the deep fried miso Mars bar!
We had a lovely weekday set lunch. Asparagus and cockles was a generous, fresh, delicious and different starter. Mains were similarly generous and tasty - the mussels were best we’ve had this side of the channel. Topped off with excellent friendly & enthusiastic service. Recommended.
So pleased to all the staff at The Warren who made our friends' engagement dinner such a wonderful evening. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be back. Cannot recommend this lovely restaurant enough. They made the night so special.
As ever, delicious hearty food, and a fantastic selection of wines to go with it.
The menu was slightly different to what I had seen online, but understandable with current restrictions that it might differ.
We had a delicious amuse-bouche, that was some kind of Pumpkin/Garlic shot. Sadly I missed the actual name of this.
Highly recommend.
We had our wedding meal here (14 of us) and had the most wonderful evening,
The food and wine was fantastic, the service was excellent and welcoming, cannot recommend enough
Also - save room for dessert!
Fabulous restaurant. We got married at the nearby Mansion House register office, and enjoyed a perfect Wedding Lunch for a party of 14 adults and 1 toddler afterwards at the Warren, on Thursday April 27th. The restaurant itself is just beautiful, and luxurious, with a large “conservatory” style area, where we were seated, and a roof terrace/large balcony. Nothing was too much trouble, the food and wine was perfect, service was excellent, and the Maître d’ was just brilliant. We had a great time, and would have no hesitation in doing it all over again!
