Great place and dream food! Came here for drinks and some food that was kindly arranged by Darren for some of our members at the Gym. Everyone enjoyed themselves and loved the food, top pub, definitely recommend it and will be back again, thanks Darren!

We booked a table for 18 of us with just over a weeks notice - nothing was too much trouble for these guys, and even when people cancelled on the night the didn’t charge for they’re food! We opened to pay for our own drinks but they were offering full table service for the night the staff were lovely and the food was absolutely delicious!! I recommend the cod loin gratin and the home made humous was soooo nice !! Really lovely pub and gets supper busy so defo book a table if there’s a few who want to eat. Can’t wait to try the steak next time !! Thanks guys

Found this place by chance on a weekend away with my daughter. We both had a great evening here & would thoroughly recommend. The food was delicious but what really made it was the lovely staff - in particular Lily & Bobby (we think was their names). They were attentive, funny & couldn't do enough for us. The whole atmosphere in the pub was welcoming & warm. Thanks for a great evening.

Great atmosphere and decor with good attention to detail. Staff were lovely but star of the show was the food!!! Had salmon followed by pocked peaches OMG Devine. Whoever is chef they are extremely good. Menu was varied and changes do will definitely be going again. Thoroughly recommend this place

The food in here is amazing. They were really busy but that did not affect the quality of the food or the service that we recieved. The staff are soo friendly and i can't recomend the food highly enough its well worth a visit.

Never been to the old pub but 4 of us popped in to the newly refurbished place on late May Bank Holiday for a drink and sharing platters. Great service and delicious food in the garden. We'll be back! Originally posted to the old Guinea Butt page but very much about the new Guinea ...and we have been back and enjoyed the food, drink and service.

I visited last night and was really impressed. The restaurant was nicely decorated, very comfortable and had a lovely atmosphere. The service was very friendly and although we were the last ones in the restaurant we weren't rushed at all. I had the Catalan Fish Stew, it was so amazing, I'd go back for that alone. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Popped in for lunch on Saturday, good atmosphere but not overcrowded. The food was excellent . I can’t actually pick any faults at all. Really impressed and will be making this a regular spot. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly providing great service. Covered a lot of pubs around tonbridge, tunbridge Wells , matfield , Benchley etc. But there is something about this place I really like. Yeah , we had a nice time here. Thanks .

Lovely laid back atmosphere, busy but not crowded with a lovely roaring log fire all a short walk from the town centre. Lovely friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The refurbishment looks really beautiful and it's a really nice place to be. The food is exceptional and you can tell it is freshly prepared rather than frozen, and while it may cost a little more, the massive extra quality makes it much better value. Well done to The Guinea team - we can't wait to come back and try you again

We visited the Guinea on the spur of the moment last night and we were really impressed with the new decor. We ordered some drinks and had a look at the menu, we hadn't planned to eat but we were not disappointed. We had starters and mains but unfortunately we were unable to manage a pudding. The food was great and the staff were very warm welcoming and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them especially the young man that served us in the restaurant we will definitely be back. Thank you all.

You may say I was too hungry. True, I was, but the food was great, service very friendly and fast. Would recommend to check it out. Especially for the sticky toffee pudding. Delicious!

Popped in for Sunday lunch yesterday. Recommended booking as it gets busy. Roast menu is extensive! But I opted for the veg chilli (can also be vegan), it was such a treat. The roasts include veg options plus different meats, and the ability to add all sorts of extras. Kids menu was perfect, we had the burger, and fish and chips but they do offer a small roast. Lovely kind service, decent prices. Spacious tables. Can't fault it!

Booked for a bottomless brunch for myself and daughter. Lovely afternoon. Staff very attentive and friendly. Drinks flowed and didn’t have to pester or push for them to be served. Food was great…. you have to try the Marmite chips they were fab. Would definitely go back again. Well worth the money!!!!

Lovely little spot, fast service nice food (hummus and churros). Everybody that served us was welcoming and it's dog friendly. The boozy brunches look great, will be back. Editing to add that the staff are so friendly, just been back for another visit and they were all so nice, one helping an old lady who was clearly a regular out to her waiting taxi.

Great food, venue and atmosphere but we had to wait one and a half hours for our food. Asked for the service charge to be removed. Would have given five stars otherwise. Still had a good time though.

We hosted an event at the Guinea for our wedding. Sol was great at answering all of our questions and emails in the lead up to the day. Everyone loved the buffet food, there was so much of it! Staff on the day were amazing, especially Georgia! Couldn’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much!

Food was great but we had to wait a lot for it to come. The staff was nice and friendly, they explained that they had a problem in the kitchen. The brisket was really nice but the size of the portion too small. I will go again for sure!

Roast dinner was great and so was the staff! It was a bit hard getting the attention of someone when we wanted to pay, but to be fair the place was absolutely packed by then. Really nice pub!

We booked a table for a small, intimate wake after a funeral. The staff were so kind and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. I also thought the price was very reasonable. If you go there I recommend the Sweetcorn Ribs, which are made from corn on the cob and so, so delicious. We all really enjoyed them, meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. The whole thing was perfect and made a sad occasion very special.

Haven't pop in for a meal since before lockdown, but when I did it was all good with a nice varied menu option consisting of gastro pub style dishes, so will pop in for a bite to eat when I next get the chance and update further!!!...

Massive delay when we went. Took almost an hour for our food to arrive, however, this was because the rugby was on, but the food was delicious. Fair warning - the portion of food for the brisket is quite small but extremely delicious
