Truly a fantastic place to eat! Been twice for breakfast now and once for lunch. Everything we've had has been incredibly tasty, service has been fantastic, reasonably priced, local produce and great decor too. I'd personally recommend "The Grain Breakfast" (eggs how you want) and the Sausage and Mash! I count myself lucky to live within a couple of miles but would encourage anyone to make the trip, it's well worth it! Fantastic food, very friendly staff and you can visit The English Distilery shop and/or take a tour in the same visit. 10/10
A girl friend and I wanted somewhere nice for a long overdue catch up and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, not rushing us to order - happy for us to chat away. Food was excellent - fresh, home cooked and delicious. The ham hock hash was a little too salty for me, and I like my salt, but the waitress was more than happy to provide the table with some water :-)
What a place. Just a few steps from the English Whiskey Distillery. Ample parking, set in quiet grounds. Great decor. From stepping in the door to leaving, staff were friendly, very helpful and service was excellent.
Our breakfast was so good. Coffee was the best I've had in a very long time.
Definitely worth a visit.
We had a tour and Cocktail Masterclass booked with the English Distillery so it was a must for cake and more coffee afterward.
Would love to go back in the warmer weather, walk the river with our dog and stop for food & drink.
A couple of cups of coffee and a freshly prepared full English set us up for one of those memorable days at The English Distillery!
Staff at The Grain Kitchen were all very welcoming, smily and attentive. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much, that we revisited after our whiskey-fuelled tour to enjoy a few beers while we awaited collection! What a day! Thanks to everyone on site.
Food was absolutely delicious, can't recommend highly enough - we will be regulars :D staff are really friendly and welcoming. They also have a really good loyalty scheme where you get 10% and 20% off after however many visits which I think is really great. You can also book a table online. 10/10 recommend.
Excellent brunch (cooked breakfast). Service was perfect, friendly and timely. Great coffee and everything well cooked. Well catered for our two year old who also loved the food too.
Have been so looking forward to visiting, and it did not disappoint. We were welcomed and offered a table outside as the weather was glorious. Amazing coffee, beautiful setting, incredible food. Well presented local produce, very good quality overall. Can't wait to revisit, there's much more on the menu we need to work our way through! Thank you & wishing all the best to the Team at The Grain Kitchen.
Probably the best fish dish I have ever eaten. My husband referring to the fish of the day which was a skate wing. The Grain Kitchen has only been open a couple of days but you would never know that, the whole experience was seamless. Lovely staff, brilliant chef, fantastic food. Well worth the 45 minute drive. Will definitely be returning.
First time here. It's a popular place so recommend booking a table in advance. We both ordered the English breakfast £15. A Gold hot chocolate, an oranage juice, apple juice and a Breckland Elderflower pop. I asked if I could have any xtra portabello mushroom instead if a black pudding and they accommodated me. The English breakfast was very tasty. Best seasoned scrambled egg on sour dough toast I've ever tasted so far. The Slow roasted mushrooms were really nicely seasoned too. The Dish also came with the usual baked beans, bacon, and sausage. And for those who like it black pudding. It appears to be a popular place for Cyclists during this time of day as there were a couple of Cyclists groups there.
The Service still managed to keep up which is good.
There was at the end a misunderstanding with the drinks on my bill but they apologised and offered to resolve this, which is good customer service.
They do breakfast, lunch and dinner at this restaurant. I hope to return and try another dish.
A friend recommended this place to me after having lunch here. So I went to check this place out for myself and was quite happy with the experience especially after a hectic week of work and was quite happy with how nice and simple the place looked.
The food was nice and the staff was quite friendly and happily answered any questions I had about the menu.
I had the Crispy Chicken Pancakes this time around but the Brisket Mac and Cheese definitely caught my eye, so definitely will be back soon.
