The Open Art Café has had a great refit and is a really friendly place in Rottingdean. We went for lunch there and the food was lovely and the service excellent. Well worth a visit.

Said I'd visit soon a few weeks ago. Monday I was there. A great place, good coffee and that pistache cake is just wow! Will surely return on my next visit to Brighton/Rottingdean!

Yesterday was my first visit and I loved it. I will definitely be back both by myself and with friends. Lovely breakfast, awesome cake and lots of lovely jewellery and cards to look at. Service with a smile. Thank you Open Arts Cafe for a lovely time.

Had a marvellous breakfast of egg Florentine this week 27 Feb 2018, as usual a warm and friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Yet another yummy and great value jacket potato with tuna, sorry wasn't on plate long enough to photo ! Keep up the good work.

A lovely cafe with a nice selection of food. Staff is helpful and friendly and are happy to make adjustments for dietary needs. The air fryer chips and the vegan crumble are wonderful. The toilet is slightly hidden but the staff can point the way. Fantastic outside seating area as well.

My sister and I went here last week, it was good so came back today. It was very busy this time so waited quite a while for our Cappuccinos. I also had a BLT sandwich which comes with side salad. Reasonable price and you can view bits of art and crafts that people have made, and are also for sale. We sat inside today because it was full outside, but nice to sit outside on a sunny day.

Lovely place for coffees, desserts or brunch. Didn’t sample any other meals but the avocado toast was great, oat lattes delicious (although you do have to pay extra for plant milks, blame the government). I think there could be more for vegans but plenty for vegetarians. You’re surrounded by artwork and crafts for sale but not in an overly busy way. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. I look forward to coming back.

Lovely local place. Awesome and very friendly staff. So delicious food, very well cooked and seasoned, full of flavors, especially those roasted seads in my side salad. Amazing!

We go to the Open Art cafe for lunch or coffee and cake regularly. It's a lovely place, with delicious food and very friendly service. And it's also full of lovely gifts and bits and bobs, so you can do a spot of present shopping while you're there! Also a great spot to catch a bit of sunshine and watch the world go by at lunchtime in the summer, since they have outside tables My favourite lunch is their delicious BLT! Thanks Open Art Cafe for being such a lovely addition to the village and keep up the good work :-)

In Rottingdean to see The Grange's exhibition and decided to pop in to the Open Art Cafe for a cheeky lunch! All cooked to order so there was a little wait, but the food and service were good. Would recommend.

Lovely stop off yesterday, perfect to escape the sun. We had our 9mo baby with us and the staff were super friendly and catered to us well, provided a high chair too. We had coffee and cakes to refuel us on a long day walking. Would definitely go back. Very reasonable prices too

Popped in for the first time this week with family. Staff were lovely and welcoming - food was delicious! I especially loved the toasted pumpkin seeds on my side salad! Really nice local cards and crafts for sale there as well. Will definitely be back.

Strangely subdued atmosphere for a Brighton restaurant and none the worse for that. No distractions from conversation and delicious and brilliantly unusual menu. All enhanced by attentive, happy and relaxed staff.Unique!

Outstanding food and always made welcome there . It gets busy at peak times . But that's a sign of good food and coffee ect . Always support the local crafts . All hand made by local artists

An attractive, quirky, and 'arty' cross between a cafe, gallery and knick-knack shop. Emphasis on the Cafe. Cakes appeared to home-made, and were all lovely (I visited as part of a group of six we all had cake). Drinks were great. Prices average. Internal decor was interesting, but in a good sense. 20 minutes free WiFi (a little strange, you have to pay after 20 mins!).
