Fantastic lunch today in the kettledrum cafe. My steak ciabatta was delicious and hubby had a boss burger which was massive but so worth it. Devoured every last bit. Will certainly be back.

Fast, friendly service and the food was delicious! We tried the gourmet burgers for lunch one day then came back for breakfast before we caught the ferry. This time it was a tasty Big Breakfast and a Veggie breakfast which was lovely too!

Popped in for a coffee before heading for the ferry. Was enticed into having a scone with jam and cream. Both the coffee and the scone were delicious. Very friendly owners. Hope to call in again. Easy to recommend.

This is a lovely family-run cafe restaurant with a chatty owner and delicious food. I had the homemade steak pie with chips and peas, and my girlfriend had scampi, chips and peas (and a coke float). I also had a lovely slice of apple pie with ice cream. I'm not sure how busy it gets at lunchtime, but I would recommend booking a table if you're planning to have dinner as it is a small establishment, so fills up quickly.

We visited for an early dinner. The food was outstanding! Best on Bute. Recommend the burgers. We sat outside because we have a dog, which was fine the sun was shining. Great service.

Popped in at midday on a Wednesday for an early lunch and had the steak melt. Absolutely delicious slices of peppered steak with fried onions and mushrooms and a little Monterrey Jack cheese, served in a warm panini, with a basket of lovely chunky fries on the side. Hands down the best steak sandwich / panini that I've had. The steak is cooked with plenty of peppercorns and the meat was tender and plentiful. No small portions here! Service was friendly and prompt and there was a nice vibe to the place. Good music and the tables filled up very quickly after opening at midday. Highly recommended.

One of the better establishments on Bute too dine in. Truth to tell, preferred dining here rather than the Glenburn. Word to the wise, not open Monday or Tuesday. Least when we were there. If going on the weekend best to book. All that said, Glenburn is more palatsiable, but your not eating your surroundings. Regards Oor Welly πŸ€—β˜•

Very friendly family restaurant with a great and varied menu. Plenty of seating inside but we enjoyed a table in the sun outside and watched the world go by.

Had a lovely steak sandwich and vanilla milk shake. Long time since I've had one of those! Not licenced, but lots of great pubs in Rothesay, so it really doesn't matter. Definitely be back.

We were very pleased to have stumbled across this cafΓ© and bistro a two-minute walk from the ferry. Food and service were excellent, including the slices of cake we took home with us.

Nice cafe on the shore front. Great level of service. Atmosphere was very friendly and open. Clearly has its regulars coming in for lunch which is a good sign. Menu was good as was the quality of food. Some items on the menu seemed a little pricey for what we got but many other options seemed reasonably priced which was a little strange. Would happily go back.
