Very nice family run pub. Beautifully designed with very friendly staff. Food was amazing, well prepared and presented. A must try food place, I'm going to be a regular for sure 👍 keep up the good work Rising Deer ❤
A lovely little find on a country road. Food was absolutely fantastic, I had fish and chips with mushy peas it was a good sized portion, I actually couldn't finish it. Service was quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable at about £12 to £16 for a main meal. It does get busy so I would recomm
Our first visit for a family meal. 10 of us booked in but a slight mixup over time, we were over 2 hours early for our booking😲🫣 Not to worry, staff had a shuffle round and managed to get us all seated together. Great relief and service, thanks. Lovely setting, friendly service all round. Nice food
Looks like a traditional village inn from the front but it's an open plan, modern pub inside. Well worth seeking out. Friendly, welcoming staff and good choice of real ales including Theakston Old Peculier. Plenty of parking too.
One of the best pub/restaurants in the area. Beer is excellent and the food is extremely good especially the fish and chips which are amazing. Highly recommend if in the area... plenty of parking if driving too. Best to book if you want food on a Friday or weekend, and note they don't serve food all
Very good food - so happy to have a decent pub and restaurant near my in-laws
Our 1st visit - car park overflowing and parking on the main road. Food was lovely and decent portions. Steak pie & chips for me with Old Peculiar on draught and Cod in batter with a double Gin for the Mrs. Staff have a great sense of humour 👍🏻🍻
Fabulous food at this very popular place. Staff are fab too, very helpful and attentive.
Gorgeous décor, attentive staff, delicious food, massive portions, excellent value for money. Would highly recommend but need to book as understandably it gets very busy. I had the Risotto and lemon posset with raspberry sorbet and a de-caff americno with a brandy to follow and honestly the food wa
Perfect, but the live music needs to go. It's a lovely little village pub, not a concert hall.
We love this place. Great pub food, good service from accommodating staff- never been disappointed. Would recommend.
1st time there food was excellent and fair portions. Great service will definitely be going again.
Had haddock, chips and peas and a dessert plus soft drinks. Definitely worth the money!
Lovely pub, delicious meal, we had pie of the day, generous portions too. The staff are lovely, very friendly, we’ll definitely be back.
