Had the mill dam dirty burger, chicken burger was a little burnt but the meal as a whole was absolutely delicious beef patty was nice and moist. Burger sauce was amazing. Normally I’m not a fan of homemade chips but these are within a different league.
Upon sitting down and pondering about what to order the prices came across on the high side for pub food but after ordering meals with the family we spend an absolute reasonable £44 for three meals and three drinks.
Staff members really accommodating with small Children and interactive with them as well.
This isn’t your normal boring pub grub, I’d class this as a more bistro quality food in a pub.
Will absolutely visit again and would 100% recommend anyone to go visit.
Four of us went for a meal this evening; two adults, two kids and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was fantastic and the food; incredible. Never tasted a beef burger like it. We opted for the sharing platter (pictured) and struggled to finish it.
I believe one of our servers was new but you wouldn’t have known. The service from the team was top rate and they interacted with our children. This was our first time visiting the Mill Dam and it won’t be our last.
Had a lovely meal my husband had carvery and I had pie it was enormous put managed to eat most of it the carvery was all cooked fresh with plenty of choice the staff were lovely will go again x
Very good meal. Takes a while to arrive but that is okay.
Only negative was the thick bacon on the burger was quite fatty and I'd have preferred it crisper. The waitress was great, sorry I forgot the name. Carvery only on Sunday which is a shame.
We’ve had a lovely meal at The Mill Dam today! Me and my husband both had the dam dirty burger and wow! It tasted amazing, the size of the meal is great value for money and the staff are all so lovely! Thank you and we can’t wait to come back again!

Had the Christmas Fayre! Choice of 3 starters, mains and puddings. Delicious food and the staff are amazing. 10 of us. We had a great time! Table beautifully decorated and room warm. Staff really friendly and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit! Thanks Liam !
Booked for 6 people for Sunday lunch 2 had carvery 4 had from the main menu food was delicious no body complained about there meal the carvery was especially tasty, quick service and extremely friendly staff would highly recommend unfortunately live in Wales otherwise would definitely visit more often can't wait till we are back in area visiting relatives again.
First time of calling here, food was excellent, I had the dam pie, homemade with nice crust and stuffed with big pieces of steak. My wife had the steak which she really enjoyed. Both were served with the biggest homemade chips I have ever seen, they were very tasty. we couldn't eat everything. we will be back, thank you
Super delicious food 😋 a bit slow service, but it's forgettable because it's Saturday evening 😀 and we weren't booked in, that's a big plus that lady in charge managed to find a table for us 😀

Decided to get a takeaway Carvery today whilst enjoying a pint on the decking. I was not disappointed it was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be trying it again on my next visit.
