First time visit and we will definitely be back! Staff are all very friendly and welcoming here, there was a little delay with our dessert but the staff kept us informed so wasn't a problem. I would like to say the desserts were definitely worth the wait, delicious! The food we chose from the menu was outstanding, compliments to the chef. Can't wait to come back 😊
Local pub providing great quality food. Had several meals here since reopening. Just enjoyed a wonderfully cooked steak. Sophie and Ruby served excellently.

Our restaurant visit this week was to The Masons Arms in Thorpe Hesley which is on the way to Sheffield where we go to watch the ice hockey.
This Destination pub has recently been refurbished and have new tenants who are very welcoming. There is a small beer garden with cosy heated sheds which I'm sure are lovely to sit and enjoy a drink.
It was a Saturday lunchtime and they offer a great set price menu for 1,2 or 3 courses. We all opted for 2 courses as none of us could quite manage a desert. Food was served quickly by the friendly waitress who was also great at giving recommendations to some of the party who were undecided as to what to have.
All in all the order comprised of the following starters Chicken Skewers, Beef Tagliata, Pea and Ham Arancini and Meatballs in a garlic tomato sauce.
Mains were the slow roast beef, Chicken souvlaki and the Mason's burger.
I would like to return to try out the full menu that is offered of an evening.
Great food and a very reasonable price, so if your ever headed out to Sheffield/Rotherham on the back roads set your sat nav to S61 2RP.
We had an unplanned visit here today for Sunday lunch. It was the first time we have been here and we were very happy with everything from the service to the food, drink and price. I had roast chicken dinner and my husband had roast pork with all the trimmings. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food was lovely, tasty and plentiful. My husband had apple and blackberry crumble with custard, I was too full to face a pudding. The toilets are clean and accessible. The car park is right outside the main entrance. Apparently dogs are welcomed. We will definately visit again.
Absolutely spot on. Love the decor. All staff can't do enough for you. Food fab. Plenty of food choice. My only qualm.... My Yorkshire pudding was that humoungous I couldn't have dessert 😂😂😂
Had a lovely early bar with my daughter drinking their amazing cocktails we will definitely be back. Lovely staff and atmosphere
First time visiting upon recommendation
We turned up and said they didn’t have certain items on the menu. However THE BEST THREE COURSE MEAL I have had in a long time. Would recommend the food and the service

Our sever Sophie gave us a very pleasant service insuring we had the best time possible without hovering over us whilst eating all in all an amazing experience 10/10
Well this was the first time at the Masons Arms and it won’t be the last.
The welcome as we entered was lovely, the time given to acclimatise perfect the wait between the three courses was spot on, giving us enough time to digest each course, the service perfect and the food beyond excellent. Thank you to the hosts who could not have been more attentive without being intrusive. See you all again ❤️
A great experience all round - a warm welcome, efficient service and a delicious, hot Sunday lunch. A clean, well maintained pub, too. Bread & butter pudding worth every calorie!

Absolutely amazing Carbonara, staff are lovely and attentive, had a brilliant time, will definitely be coming back.
Great find off the beaten path. Staff friendly and helpful even when I couldn’t decide off the extensive menu. Food was homemade, tasty and very filling.
Really friendly staff and great service. The pub decoration makes you feel relaxed. I had fish n chips for my main. The chips and the fish could have been crispier. Delicious tasting deserts.
Always have lovely meals here. Darragh was fabulous, despite being run off his feet he made amazing cocktails for us
Absolutely superb Sunday lunch the best we have had in a long time all freshly cooked veggies not over done, meat was tender and real Yorkshire puds! Amazing 5 star 🌟

Popped in for a lunchtime meal. Great service and atmosphere. Lunch menu has a great selection and offer for 1 , 2 or 3 course really good value. Food spot on.
