Great time, we went for an anniversary lunch on a Sunday and it was great. Made to feel really welcome, and good choice of V/Vg options on the menu as well. Great choice of ale including from two of my favourite breweries.
We ate in the garden on an overcast day and it was lovely. Also worth mentioning, that's the most pleasant pub toilet I've been in for a very, very long time!
Love this pub, lovely staff & owners. Dropped my mobile on the ground in the garden, thought I’d lost it but a young lad handed it in over the bar so I called the pub & collected it the next day....Lovely old pub with great beer garden,
So i hadn't the Time for Enjoy'ing the FOOD or SERVICE just just the Toilets.
But i loved the Location, for me it felt like a Countryside Old School Pub REALLY NICE & FRIENDLY as Well.
For sure if u r in that Area give it a Try & Look for yourself.
That Comment nothing to do with the PUB but please READ THAT:
THE ROTHERFIELD VILLAGER are against the COURT FARM DEVELOPMENT !!!
what i felt and understood this people wanna keep their old village and dont want it get plastered by this so called " NEW DEVELOPMENT" if my Opinion would count i think the people who live there very long they also should decide that Projekt.
BUT BACK TO THE PUB, if i m next time in that Area i ll give for sure a Try with SERVICE AND FOOD as well !!!
This is a Garden Pub in the truest sense of the genre! Absolute perfect for a chilled friends or family afternoon. The new garden terrace offers outstanding views!
Best Sunday lunch we’ve had in ages. Simple food cooked well… I had their own hand reared pork… delicious!
Lovely lunch with a great view, and surprisingly, the sun shone
🌞🌞🌞
Nice BLT Ciabata to go with my Artois.
Lovely dog walk as well 🐾
We had lunch there today we honestly couldn't fault it. We had leek and potato soup and ciabatta bread,it was the best we had ever tasted. I had liver & bacon with vegetables, my partner had prawn & salmon linguine,& Mum the chicken salad ,potatoes it was delicious. We will definitely be back, staff were friendly ,and we took our dog.
Thank you.
Great food in a great setting, plenty of parking off street and friendly folk
Lovely old pub.good friendly atmosphere.we both had sunday roast.i had roast pork and my partner had roast venison.perfect.delicious vegetables and most important it came with our own individual jugs of gravy.(there is never enough gravy served with roasts)
Hi, a Monday night meal for my 16 year old grand daughter birthday plus 3 of her friends. It was a fab meal, candle on her crumble was magicked out of nowhere. Really fun couple of hours. Thank you xx
My first visit to this pub and to be honest I can't fault it. The staff were very friendly and the food, fish n chips was lovely too. They were running a BBQ for the day but to be honest the cost for a burger at £8 seemed slightly over priced. The garden was lovely and very busy but it didn't feel claustrophobic. My only gripe if I had to is smokers, sitting beside me and lighting up. Would definitely return.

Lovely old pub, very welcoming of all including furry friends, large outdoor seating area, great place to stop on a long walk or to walk to and have a lunch or dinner.
Great atmosphere, amazing food, lovely staff and stunning pub. Highly, highly recommend!!
Good selection of ales.
Good bar menu, food beautifully presented and good value.
Very nice garden area.
A lovely quaint local pub. Beautiful beer garden that basks in the sun, tasty & fresh pints and a wonderful food menu.
Lovely pub. Open fire. Looks like it has a huge beer garden for Summer. Only dropped a Star due to a very loud, pompous customer at the bar
Absolutely beautiful place to sit and have a drink in the sun. The garden was gorgeous and the pub itself gorgeous.
Pleasant, family friendly pub. Staff went out of their way to help us. We sat in the beer garden overlooking the valley and millennium walk whilst the sun shone and the children played in the play area.
Wonderful freshly baked, hand made garlic bread, hot from the oven, mmmh! Will come back for more... dog friendly, big car park and garden with view... lovely old pub.
TL:DR great pub with great food. Awesome staff and highly recommended.
We went for lunch today with 8 people, 2 children and a dog. The bar staff were really helpful when setting everything up, including splitting the bill and drinks separately etc. Nothing seemed like it was too difficult to sort out and all the girls behind the bar were lovely! The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly, top marks the kitchen staff, we all ordered different meals and everything came out at the same time, piping hot and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend a visit to the pub. Huge beer garden which is kept very clean and tidy, there's pigs and chickens in the garden but far enough away from the eating area if your worried about that. Dogs are welcome throughout the premises and even a jar of treats on the bar!! 100% recommend a meal or even just pop in for a drink here. Awesome pub with awesome staff!!!
