Quick visit for a bit to eat after a spur of the moment decision to walk along Simonside. Busy place with weekend bikers, but we had a slice of quiche, a coffee and a slice of Mars bar krispie cake. Friendly staff, table service and empty plates from us 😁
The best chilli con carne and lentil soup I have ever had. Fantastic value for money in a wonderful simple honest to goodness country market town cafe. Right, where's the toasted tea cakes at.
Nice little biker cafe right in the heart of town. Always get a friendly welcome, good quality food and cakes. Enjoyable place to stop. It can get busy on weekends and parking your bike can be a bit of a pain at times, but overall very good.
Always pay a visit when in the area. Unpretentious, brilliant value, really friendly staff and good food and drink. Can see why it's popular with the locals. They don't make cafes like this anymore.....

Popped in this week, on a very cold and wet Wednesday afternoon, and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. Coffee was excellent and the chocolate cake was one of the best I've had 😊 Husband's Citrus cake was too good to share apparently!
Attentive staff, food seemed fresh and tasty and decent value, however the wait for a panini (which cost £5.50) was longer than expected.

Great little old school cafe in a lovely little village! We always come here even the dogs welcome! Great simple food and good value. People on here complaining about it needing modernising and fancier food there’s other places in Rothbury that would welcome you and charge you for the pomp and cerem
We always pop into The Vale cafe when in rothbury. They do good tasty food for a reasonable price. You can sit in or takeaway. Theres always a motorbike or two outside to look at!
