Food arrived hot, and was delicious, I had lamb sizzler and my husband had monster grill, could not fault it at all !!! The staff were friendly and attentive, and plenty of them !! we had a lovely afternoon. Thank you
We have been eating here for about 9 months and the food is lovely, staff are efficient and friendly. Nice environment for a couple, couple of friends and larger groups alike. Reasonably priced. Would recommend :)

Visited The Alyn after hearing it was under new ownership. The menu is quite small but this is reflected by the quality of the food which was delicious and reasonably priced. It would be great to see some healthy options on the menu as it develops. Our handsome host 😉 was especially charming and made us all feel very welcome and there was a pleasant atmosphere and a buzz about the place. I wish the new owner and the team every success.
Visited a couple of weeks ago as a walk in for a Sunday roast. We were sceptical that we’d get a table with it being a Sunday. It was busy but Chris managed to secure us a table for two. Both had the lamb, it was everything and more! Tender, tasty and top quality. Hats off to the chef and Chris and the team. Would definitely recommend
Delightful establishment! My fiancee and I were in the area last week visiting family and decided to pop in here on a whim. The food and service were top class, especially the chicken parmo which came recommended by the chef. A special mention to the owner Chris,who went out of his way to ensure our evening went so well! Keep up the good work Chris!!!
Had lunch there. Didn't book but no problem with a table. Service was great, staff really friendly and food was top-notch. Can recommend 'pie of the day' especially if it's steak and ale. The burger was also delicious. Can totally recommend!
Really pleased that my local has finally got owners with character, charisma and customer service. The new menu is brilliant and it's great to have some good veggie options at long last! Can't wait to return - thanks Chris and the team!
Friendly atmospheric pub.
The staff is friendly and make you welcome. There are plenty of spaces indoors and a lovely outdoor area near a river.
Pop along and enjoy the nice weather with a drink with friends outdoors, or sit inside on a wet cold day and play some board games while drinking away.
Popped in for lunch today and had Baked Camembert and Chorizo Bites between my partner and I. Wow, cooked, looked and tasted amazing. Staff were extremely helpful. Highly recommend anyone to visit. Will definitely be calling again as soon as we can.
My first time visiting, and it was a fantastic meal, but the service really blew us away, the gentleman that was there was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, even took us outside to show us a cool sky when the sun was settling. Plus there are games to play at the table. Will definitely be returning. Thanks so much

New landlord and new chef, Sunday roast was very very tasty, obviously homemade, using quality ingredients and freshly cooked. We would have liked the gravy in a gravy boat, but can’t complain, best Sunday roast I have had in a long time!

I'm not one for reviewing much but stopped off here quite late on this evening (7.40pm) for our wedding anniversary and asked if we could order food, which wasn't a problem at all. The two female members of staff were both pleasant and attentive. The menu was limited but this was simply due to new kitchen equipment arriving within the next couple of days. Again, not a problem. The new Landlord was very nice and very knowledgeable when it came to my gluten-free requirements, what with me being a Coeliac, and he even went to the bother of making my husband's side order of onion rings gluten-free, much to his surprise, and of course much to my delight! Hubby likes his food and really rated the lasagne and likewise me with my GF burger. The only downside was that there was no room for a pudding as we were stuffed full from just mains. I would recommend a visit, particularly if you just want good old decent food which is not too expensive, and it can only get better from here-on-in once the kitchen is running at full capacity and the menu expands to where they simply want it to be or need it to be. We wish them every luck in their new venture and no doubt we will be back to sample the new menu.
