Great Sunday Roast. Really reasonably priced. My only negative would be how early they close on a Sunday, so I would say go before 14:00 so you have plenty of time.

Called in for a drink while strolling around the park. No real beers, all keg. Quality white wine. To sit in the sun and out of the breeze in a courtyard was lovely. Why would you want to sit on a pavement breathing in exhaust fumes? Of course Whitakers is only open till 8pm on a Thursday... but it could give your lungs a break!

1st time here for a quick lunch after a walk in the park. We both had the whitaker burger, which was delicious. Nice and friendly service. Will definitely be back again!

Oh, boy, we hit the jackpot when we strutted into the Whitaker for breakfast! πŸŒžπŸ’Ό It was like taking a big, juicy bite of a fresh apple - a real breath of fresh air. We meandered up the park along the footpath, the scenery was just popping - so glorious it could make a grown man weep, but don't worry, we kept it together πŸ˜‚. The sun was out doing its thing and the weather was showing off its best behaviour 🌞🌳. Upon our grand entrance into the cafΓ©, we were met with a friendly nod 🎩 and given the royal privilege of selecting any table. "Pick your throne," they seemed to say. Once we parked ourselves down, menus magically appeared πŸ“œβœ¨. Orders were placed for the good ol' flat white and a Coke Zero - gotta maintain that balance, right? 🀷 For the main event, we went for poached egg on bloomer and Eggs Jardiniere. The latter, in case you're wondering, is a fabulous mix of smashed avocado πŸ₯‘, earthy mushrooms πŸ„, poached eggs and Hollandaise all laid out on a buttered toasted muffin (or slice of bread if you're a rebel like us). The food arrived quicker than a greyhound on a racetrack 🏁 and with the first bite, our taste buds screamed "WOW!" πŸŽ† The mushrooms tasted like they'd just had a heart-to-heart with the earth, and the Hollandaise? Ooh la la, treΜ€s bon! As for the avocado... well, it was being very avocado - cool, creamy and understatedly classy πŸ₯‘πŸŽ©. Meanwhile, my better half gave a standing ovation to her poached egg on toast πŸ³πŸ‘ and reported that the flat white was just right, it had perfected the balancing act - "not too creamy" she said, savouring every sip β˜•οΈ. Guess what? We're already planning our grand return to try their lunch menu! I'm betting it's a knockout 🍽️πŸ₯Š.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff. Great place for dog walkers to stop off for a drink/snack whilst out for a walk. We sat outside on picnic benches as weather was nice. Would definitely recommend this place

Sunday Breakfast. Could have used Stock take/update Saturday. NO HAM for Eggs Benedict! Not good. The rest of our orders were ok.
