Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Very quick service and helpful team - not local to Coffee#1 these days so good to come back to a familiar, warm place for a cuppa!
They sell a good selection of teas & coffees as well as sandwiches, paninis, cakes & pastries. They also have a selection of cold drinks & crisps.
The toasted cheese & tomato sandwiches are delicious & the banana & chocolate bread is scrummy! (sorry, one of my own words!)
The staff are friendly, efficient, polite & welcoming. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming. The café is clean. No one rushes you, which is a welcome change these days.
Only a very brief stop for a coffee but next time will linger longer. Delicious coffee and even offered the choice of dark or light roast (I opted for dark) and z very nice piece of chocolate cake
Lovely setting in Ross on Wye that you can visit with your pup! Food was delicious, location was lovely and even treats for the dogs. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

My morning this Sunday the 27th Nov 22.
Went out to get cake for breakfast as my dearest wife is American and I'm hooked on cake for breakfast.(You have all day to work it off, logical really)
Went into Costa and five young staff behind counter chatting and ignoring customers, so I walked out.
Went into Coffee 1 and the lady was busy serving but acknowledged me and said she would be with me ASAP.
Straight away I'm at ease and know the score, when she got to me she first apologised for the wait and got on with my request.
I commented to her how professional she was and that the service was brilliant, I told her of my experience in Costa and she agreed.
Well done Coffee 1 for such service and properly trained staff that engage customers and put them at ease knowing the staff are doing all they can to serve them.
Coffee 1 every time from now on, thats the way to do it.
They have lovely cakes and deserts and amazing coffee, though it is a bit pricey which is expected of a coffee place.
