Really great place to stay! Cozy rooms, cute dinnerroom, great view, beautiful nature and really great food and super friendly and helpful staff. Really a place to find your rest. It's near Wales, but also at a drivable distance of other beautiful British villages. I really really enjoyed our stay but if you want to know the history of the main house, I can recommend it to read it after your stay :)
Booked an afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious, lovely fillings in the sandwiches and the cakes were so light and tasty and the view just topped it off
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and great food perfect for a romantic getaway
Well what a place. Fantastic location with some lovely views . The rooms are great.. we stayed in the courtyard rooms as I'm disabled and they were very nicely laid out with walk in shower/wet room. Very easy for me to get around. The only thing lacking was some grab handles in the shower, but that's nit picking. The food was very nice and freshly cooked, and the breakfast.. well what can i say.. probably the best one I've had. All cooked to order.. and while it's being cooked there is a selection of homemade muesli and granola. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Overall a very nice couple of days. *****
Spent a night away with my two young nieces, stayed in the large horse box and they adored it! Cleverly renovated, surprisingly luxurious and very quirky. Great set up for families, food wise there is a lovely menu for foodie adults but they also cater for the kids. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, lovely grounds. We loved the amenities ie the games room, billiards room etc. Would highly recommend and want to return in the summer!
Last minute booking. Excellent reception our room had a heating problem no problem to the management, very sorry have an upgrade to a beautiful four poster room. Dinner absolutely wonderful, leisurely service but worth the wait. The location is ideal the grounds exceptional. Breakfast cooked to order like dinner perfect. Roaring log fires. Staff so helpful. Highly recommended.
Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, although busy they couldn't do enough for us the night before my wedding. Fantastic breakfast, good service. Then they put on the best wedding anyone could wish for. Extremely satisfied with my big day. Thank you Brooks country house team you were amazing xx
As two families meeting to celebrate our children's wedding, we all stayed in Brooks Country House. The entire experience was beyond our expectations. All the staff were more than helpful, the house was warm and welcoming and we were made to feel that it was our home from home for the weekend.
All food was excellent, the wedding buffet was displayed in a very imaginative way... very artistic. Tastes sensational, presentation superb.
I look forward to returning when our travels take us in that direction. Well done and many thanks.
Great staff! Wonderful quiet location. Great bed and pillows. Fabulous breakfast. We didn't try the dinners as we were out too much enjoying the countryside and all that it had to offer. Brooks Country House provided a great central location for our trips into Wales and south to Bath and into the Cotswolds.
Excellent stay. Excellent value. Allocated room in annexe was very pleasant and quiet with view over garden. Dinner and breakfast are very good and served in a characterful dining room with views over sweeping countryside. Character follows through into bar and a quiet relaxing lounge with open fires.Very appealing location down extended driveway.
