Had breakfast here today and loved the vintage tea cups and plates. Food was good and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. I was very taken with the mini art gallery of photos and prints in the toilet, a small detail but always a sign that a place is loved and cared for by the owner/manager. Spoke for a few minutes with the owner who was very happy to chat and tell us a bit about the tea shop and planned renovation works. Got my eye on the comfy chairs on the bay window for my next visit.

I visited today while I was waiting on my car at the garage. The tea room looks beautiful, I enjoyed my food and even more so that my little boy was occupied with the little play corner. I’ve never felt so relaxed eating out as I have today. The atmosphere was lovely and my little one enjoyed the little photo shoot and the free cakes . Thank you, would defo recommend and visit again!

Absolutely delicious! The cakes were stunning, so beautiful, really tasty, and the perfect size. Sandwiches were so so fresh and yummy. Super reasonably priced. Friendly, really accommodating staff / owners. Really worth the trip from Edinburgh!

I had my daughter's graduation afternoon tea there. The food was excellent and plenty of it. A glass of Proscecco on arrival was a nice celebration drink for the occasion. The staff were very nice and very attentive and the atmosphere was just what we wanted as we had all of the front lounge. I would recommend this venue highly.

Beautiful building. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Old fashioned service where we were shown to our room and the amenities were explained to us. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast rolls (not included in the price) were freshly made to order and delicious. We were given good local advice concerning our planned visit to the Rosslyn Chapel and castle ruins. All in all a great experience. Thanks guys.

Such a cute little place to eat before or after the visit to the Rosslyn Chapel! We had cream cheese and salmon bagel (see photo), it was pretty tasty! We also tried double espresso with side of steamed milk, loved it too. Such a nice place to eat and rest up until your next adventure! 😊

We've lived in the area for α while α d have only just managed to get round to going to Dolly's. I'm disappointed it took this long as it is such α lovely little place. My husband and I came for afternoon tea and were not disappointed. The treats come on α non-traditional stand: it was almost like α display shelf, it looked cool. Everything was prepared well and the cakes were delicious. We even received 2 of their famous shakes in miniature form. There is α lot of food for 2 people so the staff brought us some takeaway boxes. The staff were very friendly and we were served quickly. The menu had breakfast and lunch options and they have a large selection of drinks on offer. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Visited today for some afternoon tea and milkshakes for the kids. I was very impressed with all extra measures taken to ensure we felt comfortable and safe during this difficult time (covid). The afternoon tea was fabulous and all the staff were very attentive and accomodating even when the tea room was full. Our kids loved the milkshakes and the cakes were amazing. A great place to visit for quality food at great prices. There was a seating outside too, perfect for enjoying a coffee and cake. I noticed they also had a takeaway service available.

Took my nana for an afternoon tea for 3 at Dolly's Tea Room today for her birthday, and it was wonderful! Good selection of sandwiches, a massive scone each and a slice of Victoria sponge, chocolate cake and carrot cake each! And a lovely little milkshake to top it off. Got the best seat in the house right in the window. Everything was really tasty and the staff were super friendly, couldn't have been more helpful. Only slight niggling point is that you don't get free refills of tea (which is usual for an afternoon tea) so if you're wanting more tea or coffee you'll have to pay extra. Otherwise it was perfect, and we will definitely be back!

Interesting history behind the cafe with Dolly the cloned sheep. Great cafe to wait at as we waited for our bus after visiting the Rossalyn Chapel. Great smoothie

A very lovely place, quite close to Rosslyn Chapel if you are visiting. A great selection of loose leaf teas! We were also pleasantly surprised by vegan options both sweet and savoury (they had three kings of vegan cakes which is almost more than what is offered in a regular cafe in Edinburgh city centre!). Staff very helpful!

Its always a lovely visit to Dolly's Tea room. The food is fantastic and our kids especially love the choice of milkshakes that are on offer. The accommodation upstairs is wonderful for when my family come and visit us and the staff are always super friendly and happy. Highly recommended 👌

There's Tea Rooms and there is Dolly's. Just like a great cuppa, what a refreshing place to stop at. We enjoyed coffee's as tea isn't our taste but those cinnoman buns were the bomb. Kids enjoyed there juice and ice creams. We watched others who also enjoyed their servings which were all different and unique in presentation. The interior decoration was magical almost like falling down a rabbit hole. Making the hares in my picture most appropriate. Service was warm friendly and fun. Social distance observed, masks worn and hygiene ensured. If you visit Roslin this is a must visit also.

What a lovely tea room. Yes, it's named after "that" Dolly. The famous cloned sheep!! The menu is varied, with a nice selection of light lunch options. The paninis were served with a lovely fresh green salad & a few very nice Salted kettle chip type crisps. The cakes are devine, we had the raspberry ripple but the choice was difficult due to everything looking fantastic. As decaf drinkers we are often disappointed with the coffee but that wasn't the case here. We are in the village for a few more days & will definitely be back before we leave. The best bit about this tea room (apart from all of the above) is the fact that it's Dog Friendly, inside and outside. Photo for proof!! Update!! We had a take away afternoon tea for the last day of our holiday. What a gorgeous spread. This place is a must visit. We can't wait to come back! Thanks guys.
