Nice food, nice view. One of the places we always used to visit as a kid, great place if you got younger kids because of the play area. There is cheaper places out there but the food pricing is by no means unreasonable, really enjoyed it. All locally sourced too 😃
Came here for a carvery on the recommendation of a friend and found it underwhelming at best. However having subsequently eaten from the main menu, found the food on that to be a much higher standard. Otherwise, it's a very pleasant, welcoming and friendly pub with plenty of character nestled in th
Had the loveliest stay for my wedding anniversary here after a very soggy camping trip weekend! The pub is enormous, but still manages to retain a personal and cosy atmosphere. The service is amazing, the staff are so lovely! The food was also fantastic - really loved the vegan menu. We also got a l
Great food. Allows dogs. High quality local produce cooked well. Large beer garden and children’s play area. Large car park. Busy on a Sunday and was still served quickly & well. Very enjoyable meal.
Had a lovely meal here, the skinny fries were very nice not hot hot , but hot enough to eat, the coleslaw so creamy. The haddock was very large and the prices were not too bad. They were brilliant with the children. Would definitely go again
Beautiful food and great service. Reasonable price for what you get. Fab kids play area and games room and dog friendly! Would definitely recommend it, and we will be back. Can't rate rooms as only went for a meal.
We had a very tasty meal here with a family group of 8. The waitress was amazing and dealt with our various food preferences, allergies etc. with patience and understanding. Never been here before but rate it as the best food/dining experience on that part of the IOW. So if you are gluten free, vege
Great food, big portions, and friendly staff. Has good amenities for children, disabled access, and plenty of seating space. Vegetarian options are limited, but better than a lot of places.
Excellent food. It is slightly pricey but wide range and quick service. Very pleased over all.
Enjoyed a lovel meal here. Quick service and served with a smile. Food good, cost normal so enjoyed the whole experience. Recommended.
Came to The Chequers for an evening meal whilst on holiday. The restaurant is a lovely setting with a great play area to keep the kids entertained. Service was great and the food was lovely. There were 10 of us with 3 kids, and everyone enjoyed their meal.
We visited with a party of 9 including 2 young children. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. A dedicated vegan menu complimented the main menu offering excellent choice for all of us. Well done Chequers
Un booked visit for Saturday afternoon dinner. Quite a busy visit due to a wedding party there but still managed to be served promptly. The food wasn't the best, lasagne was a bit like dog food if I'm brutally honest, and it's not like it was cheap enough to warrant the 'pub grub' comment. Garden is
Gorgeous pub/restaurant, slightly quirky design but very charming. Fantastic food, well priced, good sized portions. Great location
We had a large family meal here, spread out over a few tables. We were well looked after, food service was quick and good food. Highly recommend, they also do a good Sunday carvery which we tried on a previous visit!
Great friendly service and lovely food with big portions and cheaper small plate options for some of its meals. Next to a caravan area with large field so good choice for people with dogs too. Was a dog friendly pub too.
