Went for a birthday meal earlier this evening. Had the prawn cocktail, calves liver and onions and the strawberry Eton mess. Hubby had breaded whitebait, rack of ribs and sticky toffee pudding.

Fish night amazing!!! Steak and kidney pie dad cleaned his plate!!! Can't rate this highly enough!!! If ever you are pass
We ate at the hachet inn excellent.
We walked for a local campsite to the pub 25 min walk .sat outside and staff came out to take our order .they set up a tab with no need for card .food came out piping hot and really tasty..
Would highly recommend this pub on the A27 great service and good food

Lovely food home cooked and could tel. Pre-book is my key piece of advice, they’re popular. Don’t be disheartened by the feel of the place, it is an old school pub vibe but the food is amazing quality.
Stopped over in our motorhome after a long trip. Had food with them which was excellent throughout. Service was again excellent with the bar staff girls professionall and efficient.
The chef prepared everything to a high standard.
Would recommend anyone in the area to book for a meal.
Fab food..the homemade chicken and ham pie was great with the mash and veg cooked just the way I like.
Didn't have to wait long for food either. Food was lovely and hot..we got there as it opened but was filling up fast as we left..very popular place..landlady was friendly and helpful..
We both had roast pork dinner,it was delicious, large portions but every mouthful was devoured with ease and our plates were emptied leaving us full and happy 😊
Proper old pub ambience. Lovely staff - Welcoming and polite. Clean. Great food. Good value. Glad we came and we'll be back.
Great atmosphere. Service was excellent and being an old style pub it added to the atmosphere. A mixture of ages and all very sociable.

Had a delicious lamb shank meal. Waitress was very friendly and good with the kids. Would definitely go back.

Lovely little pub. Competently run by welcoming staff. I was advised to choose the potato wedges, and yes, they were very good.

Monthly Quiz night at the Hatchet is a great laugh. New OZ cask ale 🍺 on which was very nice.
