An absolute gem of a place, located in the grounds of King Johns House, this is an ancient English garden in the heart of Romsey. The house is a tourist attraction in itself, but also has Miss Moodys Tudor Tea rooms where you can sit outside in the sun or inside and enjoy some lovely sandwiches. Sta
The best afternoon high tea in Romsey! Miss Moody’s made a birthday celebration extra special with great good and amazing service in a fascinating setting. The tea pots were quickly refilled and the food was delicious, including the gluten free! Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful! Such a beautiful place and we were treated like royalty! 5 star host! The atmosphere here was incredible, the nicest, happiest, tasiest lunch ive had in years. Thankyou so so much for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend and see you soon!
Really lovely and relaxing place for tea and homemade cake. I always come here when visiting Romsey. Was a little disappointed to see the dovecot was for decoration only but maybe it should be a different spec to accommodate doves.
Lovely quite place to enjoy cup of coffee and cake in the garden. Friendly and efficient service and all covid 19 precautions taken. Some tables indoors or under cover if the weather is not so good.
We had a very pleasant lunch and were given a very friendly service. We sat out in the little garden which was lovely. My only slight disappointment was that there was no proper coffee machine to make a latte, just had to make do with a frothy sachet coffee, which tasted okay.
Tucked away and easily missed, this little tea room is housed in part of King John's House (or Hunting Box).
Lovely afternoon tea served in charming surroundings. Gorgeous cakes, traditional scones and cream, as well as a varied menu of light meals and sandwiches.
Tea cups, teapots, scones or toasted tea cakes.....a wonderful slice of English traditions ...served up in a building bursting at the seams with stories and history. The staff are wonderful and make most of the cakes and scones......long may it always be so please....and thank you!!!! 🤗🙏
First time visit on recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Good food, reasonably priced and the ladies were very attentive. Looking forward to my next visit.
Delightful Tea rooms with delicious home baked cakes & scones
Just popped in for a drink....The real hot chocolate was a treat, hot milk which you add chocolate pieces to, and marshmallows too, delicious!
Great service too
Small but wonderful tea room full of character.
I arranged a hen party afternoon tea and it was wonderful, the building is charming and the style of the tea shop is retro with an old world charm we dressed u in 1940's costume and we felt right at home. Beautiful gardens you can sit in, if the weather is nice. I often have tea here and I love th
Peaceful beautiful gardens. Shared a pot of tea, all served in china, with my parents and had a tasty tea cake to go with it. Friendly staff who helped me with a wheelchair. Would recommend.
You should visit this beautiful little tea room set inside the 16th century Kings House. The house is well worth a visit for just £4 entry. The tea room is free to enter and the afternoon tea with homemade scone, jam and cream for £4.95 was excellent value. Whilst in Romsey the Abbey Church is a Mu
