Have been here many times over the years and yet to have anything less than an excellent experience. Went last night for my 30th birthday with my family; The food was excellent and the service was extraordinary - and I mean in this in the most literal way; I've never had a restaurant make me feel so welcome. Would recommend to anybody who likes good Italian food in a place with a great atmosphere and great service. Already looking forward to the next visit. Thanks to Alex and the team.
This is a lovely Italian with a great reputation. Our meal was delicious and served piping hot, thereβs a welcoming atmosphere and the staff give excellent service. Plus itβs reasonably priced with early evening specials making it even better value for money.
Just been for a 21st birthday celebration for my boyfriend and couldn't be happier with both food and service. We were able to preorder in advance so everything ran like clockwork and all the food was perfect and served quickly. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Couldn't recommend more. Thank you!
We have been going to the Italian for over 26 years it's my favourite place to eat. I highly recommend the Lasagne it's delicious. Had a fantastic time last night wonderful friendly service as always. πππππ

First time we have been here and we loved it. We didn't book a table but the staff were happy to accommodate us. The service was excellent and the staff are very friendly. The food was really nice too. The atmosphere was really nice ππΌ we will definitely come again soon

An amazing Italian restaurant! Everything was cooked fresh and cooked perfectly, I had the whitebait to start and the Tuna steak linguine, both were seasoned perfectly! The cocktails we had were also excellent!
I am definitely coming back and recommending this place to friends!

This was the best night's dining we have had for a long time. It came highly recommended and we now see why. Potion size quality and value all boxes ticked. And the service was very efficient and friendly. We have found our new goto restaurant.

Really lovely restaurant in Romiley that serves a,along food and cocktails. I love that they have a separate vegan menu which is excellent and contains some of the classic Italian dishes that vegans miss out in a lot. The cocktails are really good too.
It is a family friendly restaurant but wouldnβt call it a romantic date night restaurant. The staff are really friendly and attentive. They gave great recommendation from the menu too.
Finally dined in after many a takeaway from here, and were not disappointed!! The food was absolutely delicious and the service is so friendly. Cocktails were fab and they were able to put certain things on/off each dish as they're all made to order. Lovely evening and we'll be back... a lot!
First time we've been to "The Italian", really impressed, good choice, good food and excellent service. Orange and chocolate cake, and tiramisu were to die for. Very busy, so best book ahead. We'll definitely be going back again.
Wow, what a place. Absolutely fantastic Italian! Came here for my 40th with family and friends. Great bustling atmosphere in the restaurant exactly how an Italian should be.
I had the Mushroom starter and the portion size was that of a main. Absolutely fantastic quality. For the main I had the Risotto and oh my my absolute fantastic. Loads of seafood all de-shelled in advance no mess just pure joy!
All 6 of us enjoyed their meals no complaints. I will be back. Booking is essential.

We have wanted to visit here for a while and tonight we were near the area and thought let's go! Wow, it did not disappoint. Tuesday night and the restaurant was full, such a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant and we can't wait to visit again. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Great little gaff, packed on a Wednesday evening, absolute testament to how good the food and drinks menu is in here. The BBQ sauce blew my mind, and the pizza was bang on. Great service from Igor, Millie and Eva.
The Italian Romiley has to be the best Italian we have visited. The only downside to the excellent restaurant is that it has no disability access, for those who are unable to climb steep stairs, have limited mobility or in a wheelchair, then unfortunately you are unable to sit upstairs in the restaurant. The atmosphere and the service is excellent! The restaurant is highly run, attention to there guests and ensuring you are attended to is very impressive! An excellent choice of food and the specials menu also has a good selection. Specials throughout the week at certain times and a take out service. We are definitely going to make this a monthly visit.
Been coming here for many years never been disappointed. Food is exceptional and great value for money. Staff are brilliant and pleasant and welcoming. We would like them to share the spare ribs recipe however I fear that I will never receive said recipe π
Went on Friday for the first time to the Italian after recently moving near the area and was blown away. Superb venue, service and food was delightful. Canβt wait to return!

Really lovely local Italien. They managed to fit us in on a busy night. But you are best of booking. Great value anytime but especially on there weekday deal.
We visited last night as a table of 20 both the food and service were outstanding. Even with such a big party our food arrived at the same time. Real authentic Italian restaurant so much better than a generic chain . Starters brilliant main brilliant and desserts were so good. They have a fantastic selection of cocktails and Italian beers very responsible prices and very family friendly thank you for making an important family gathering so special
WOW, what an amazing place the Italian is, we are a family that loves Italian food. We have travelled to many Italians, our favourite was in York, but it has now closed down we also had another favourite more local to us but I'm sad to say I never thought I would this is by far the best!!

Staff were lovely, the decor is beautiful & honestly the food is amazing I really don't have anything negative I can say.
