New management Kimberley, Wayne and team are great. This place is changing for the better! Fab gin ( some good upmarket labels) and tonic in proper gin glssses, good music, live music, great new menu ( dirty chips are to die for!) and a changing clientele. Well done guys, solidly run, decent local pub at last - see you again soon!
Came for a meal this week, food was great, the new management are brilliant the staff are friendly, the pub is extremely clean!! Saw lots of adverts for live music, which I think will go down great in the area! It's nice to have it back to a family pub! Def recommend!
Held my Sons 21st Birthday in their function room. Great Pub, Great Food. Everything was taken care of from the food to the DJ (who was also Fantastic). I would highly recommend this venue for the level of professionalism , service and overall ease of organising this party.
We had our engagement party here a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing thanks to the lovely staff who helped us put it all together. Everyone had a brilliant night the food they supplied was also lovely will definitely recommend to anyone who's looking to have a party thank you all so much for making our night one to remember
Went here for lunch last weekend. Had the nacho burger with sweet potato fries (definitely worth the upgrade) and a side of onion rings. Was top notch!
Great atmosphere and lovely inside.
Would recommend. I will be a regular
We held our daughter's Christening at The Drill last weekend and it couldn't have gone better.
Kim, Wayne and the staff were fantastically accommodating. We had the end section of the pub and many people to fill it. There was an area set up for the food and tables set for the cake; they even provided a cake stand for our use. We had an outside area for our own use, which I'm sure we would have utilised more had the weather been nicer, though some of our younger guests had a little run around in it. There was a TV screen for the rugby so the men of our group were very pleased. We also had our own toilets to use - although there was a slight problem with the water, nevertheless, Wayne and Kim came up with a solution in no time.
The food was exceptional. The team obviously know their stuff with regards to food preparation as the hot food was brought out and refreshed throughout the two hour window they allocated for the food to be out. The sandwiches were delicious and there was more than enough food for our guests.
Overall, we can't thank the management and staff of The Drill enough. They really took the stress out of the day for me and it was so simple to book and arrange. We have since had many calls from our friends and family saying what a fantastic day it was and how pleased they were with the venue. Well done!
Food was great, music was spot on for a chilled Sunday , staff were friendly. Had a lovely Sunday afternoon 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Took my 81 year old mum there Saturday evening for some food and we both thoroughly enjoyed our night staff are lovely and management are fantastic and that includes Rocky the dog he's such a lovely character well done all keep it going from Lorraine and Mum of Romford
Watched the England semi here and what a great pub. No trouble, lots of family's and great barbeque food
Attended my freind Davids and Lisas engagement party here on Fri, 28.09.23.
Hire and food for 25 people cost around £200 I was told. Buy our own drinks which turned out very expensive I need to say. The average say Witherspoons charges £2.89 for a pint of Purple Strongbow, this Pub charged me £5.70p which was a bit of a shock. Most of us just had soft drinks, nice. I suggest you do too?
Super well placed and well run sports pub, top quality beer and other drinks, the food was spot on too. We ate in the large beer garden which has 3 great size out door TV’s, watch golf while eating, I never knew I was so interested in that sport!
The Drill opened its doors again today and I just popped over for a couple of drinks and a meal, both of which were excellent! I can't wait to sample the whole menu in the future. The new and old staff were super friendly and the manager Wayne was very welcoming and was clearly running a well oiled machine. Their social distancing measures seemed to be working well and it felt like a safe environment to relax in. Being a pub garden fan though I was most impressed with their refurbished garden - outstanding!
See you again soon!
My sons wedding reception. Lovely garden area. Good surroundings and friendly staff.
Good beer, good service and a good place to watch sport.
Came for their children's Halloween party. Was welcomed with open arms. Very friendly staff. We had a meal before the disco started. Food was cooked to perfection. Nice size menu with plenty of options for all. Garden is a nice size. Kids were very impressed with the lego figures. Loads of thought had gone into games and decorations for Halloween. We came back on Sunday for Sunday dinner. It didn't dissopoint very deep filled dish. Well done all :)

Loved this pub. Just popped in to wait for bike service so only had a drink but the landlady was lovely. The pub is clean and the toilets are spotless. There is a lovely beer garden at the back of the pub away from the main roads and totally enclosed so safe for children and pets.
Great friendly pub, lovely landlady and partner. I'd recommend trying.
A first class pub our roast beef dinner was easy the best we had in a long time. The manager and the staff are very good top marks all round cheers guys and girls 👍😊 Catherine.Bob
Always great atmosphere and nice hospitality
Went along for the RPG club (Mondays) which may not be everyone's cup of tea. That to one side, the food looked good and the staff were really friendly. Did a reccy the Friday before and the same can be said. Hopefully, depending on childcare, I will get to go again on a Monday.
Very dog friendly with resident dogs, Sunday dinner was very excellent, service has always been great there to so👍👍
What a great pub! Clean and tidy! The staff are super warm and friendly and can not do enough! The pub dogs just add to the great experience! Will def return! Had the tikka masala! Yum!!
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere just transferred to new owners.
