A little bit overpriced but the food is really well cooked. The toast is a little bit dry but otherwise one of the best English breakfasts in Romford. Service could be really improved.
Lovely friendly café with a relaxing décor and very nice well cooked food, highly recommended especially if your over at Queens Hospital and want to eat from somewhere else.
I had a good hearty breakfast with a smile and promt service the price's are reasonable as well.

You have a choice to sit inside the café or outside (like a conservatory). The service is very good, very helpful and do take care of you when you're there. The food is really good and decent size portions... I hope you'll enjoy the place like I did...

Had a lovely lunch. We arrived near closing time but we weren't rushed. Chicken, salad and rice cooked perfectly. Asked for an Iced coffee, which is not on the menu but Mel made it for me. It was so nice we had another. Would recomend Mel's cafe definitely.
The food here is always good, I've eaten in and ordered, the food always arrives hot and tatses great and when in shop, it's great customer service, lovely people and great food. Great combination.

This is a really nice cafe. Me and my mum go here regularly if we go to queens hospital, as it is just opposite, and it is nice to go there if we arrive early for an appointment. It has a restroom. The only disappointing thing is it does not cater for gluten-free and dairy-free options. But on the exception I can eat here with my mum and drink here. I had a nice Cappuccino and my mum had a black coffee. I had a custom-made veggie breakfast with poached egg, bubble and squeak (did not enjoy this), vegetarian sausage, brown toast, halloumi (generous portion). My mum had baked beans, fried egg, fried mushroom (she was trying to work out if they were out of a tin or fresh and hoping they were fresh), toast, sausage. She said she enjoyed her meal. As the portions were so generous neither of us could finish the food. If you have good appetite you can definitely eat here well :)
I was tempted to try the Spanish omelette or a baked potato. They also have nice salad options. I have a proper coffee making machine with espresso coffee and to make latte and cappuccino.

The manager? Was a really nice man and he was going much over the job by being kind to everyone helping people with mobility problem in and out of the cafe. The staff here are very very kind. And the hygiene quality is very high.
