Family and I ate at the Ewe and Lamb for the first time last night since Tess and Ben took over.... what a difference! such a lovely evening! The place has been brought back to life again and the changes to the restaurant are amazing. For the first time in a long time it looks as though someone really loves and cares for their pub! Food was really delicious & staff very friendly with our children and made us all feel really welcome. Well done Tess, Ben and Team it's so nice to have a great village pub again

The transformation after the hard work Ben and Tess have put in, is amazing. Great food and the menu has improved so much over the past 6 months. A warm and welcoming atmosphere when you arrive. . Seen so many new families in there, which is fantastic. well worth going for a drink and something to eat in the new restaurant part

We booked for the Carvery from a recommendation and have to say from the moment we walked in we were made very welcome. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and was always checking everything was ok. We went for the three course option and all where very well cooked and presented. The beef was cooked perfectly and the Yorkshire puddings are just perfect. A good selection of veg and lovely gravy. The home made cheese cake is a must ! We will be returning and have recommended to many others. Thanks again keep up the good work.

Fabulous meal at this lovely, country pub. Really generous portions and beautifully cooked food, great choice too. In our party we had the haddock ( brought fish & chips to another level!) Pie of the day ( chicken, ham & leek on our day, delicious!) Burgers chosen by the children (" the best burger I've ever had, even on holiday!" The 13yr old announced All served by a charming young lady. I would definitely recommend The Ewe and Lamb!

A very good local pub with a lovely atmosphere and good food. We came across it by accident and were glad that we did. Food was lovely. Caprese salad was really nicely dressed with lots of heritage tomatoes. Pork chop from the grill was big and juicy with a cooked apple and grilled broccoli. Desserts loked great. Must come back when not on low carbs! Specially to try the crumble! People at the bar chatting and you could sit outside too. Enhances the village I should think.

Really lovely pub with a warm welcome for us and our dogs. Four of us had lunch here on Saturday and everyone's food was excellent, with a good selection of gluten free options. My friend was delighted that there was a GF burger bun! Highly recommended.

As it say's on the sign outside ' A proper village pub ' and it certainly was just that . A quaint pub in a quiet area , with drinks and good food served at reasonable prices . Nice clean spacious inside which had a lovely charm about it . Outside seating at the front of the property . Staff really friendly and helpful . We were advised about a little wait for food , but it came quicker than expected . The food was absolutely fresh and delicious . The pot for the chips didn't appear big BUT when tipped out it was plentiful, and SUPER tasty too . A great find when searching for pubs in the area that we were visiting.

Lovely friendly village pub. We were there on a Sunday and eat delicious food from Kashmir Kitchen food truck which was on the pub site. The venison curry, and chips with masala sauce was delicious! Inside the pub a local folk duo were playing.

Cute pub tucked away in a quiet picture postcard village but only about a mile off the A28 Hastings to Ashford road just before Tenterden. Friendly staff, crowded village atmosphere with good food.
