Popped in for a bite to eat at lunchtime and was greeted with a warm friendly welcome by the barmaid. I had the home made chicken pie, it was packed full of chicken and bacon, one of the best pies I've had for a very long time. Will certainly be returning in the near future to sample the rest of the menu.

Had my husband’s 40th birthday drinks here on Saturday night. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. They provided an excellent service from the off. Nothing was too much trouble. A lovely, friendly atmosphere. Many of our friends have commented on what a great pub this is. Thank you.

A pleasant country pub that comes into its own in the summer. Sitting in the garden on a summer's evening isn't a bad way to pass the time. The food's pretty good too (averaging about £15 a dish). The pub is situated in the small village of Rodmersham. The most famous resident was the artist Edward Ardizzone - and yet not one of his paintings/illustrations graces the wall of the pub.

Great village pub and more spacious than most. Had a typical pub type meal and it was prepared and served above the usual pub standards. A great layout with the restaurant side on the opposite side to the bar and facing out to the lawn area. The atmosphere was really good and background music was playing at just the right volume for enjoyment and conversation combined. Loved it!

A warm welcome at this traditional village pub. The cosy interior makes you feel at home and the friendly and efficient staff are always a pleasure. A couple of beers followed by a decent meal. You can't go wrong with a prawn cocktail followed by their fish and chips board which included a really tasty battered sausage. Roll on my next visit to Rodmersham!

A fantastic country pub in a lovely, quiet, village location. The Fruiterers has a nice recently refurbished restaurant which serves up some pretty tasty food. Staff are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It has a nice beer garden for the summer and warm, cosy fires for the winter. There is normally some music playing in the background and it has a good atmosphere. Now, under new management, The Fruiterers is now even better than ever, the pub has a proper village pub feel about it again. The beer garden is perfect for the summer with plenty of benches and it also has some pretty cool sheds/cabins you can sit in for added privacy or for a bit of shade. Highly recommended. Update. Returned recently and had a fantastic fish and chips, which was massive and super tasty. The staff and locals are all so friendly and welcoming it is definitely worth a visit.

I have heard mention of this pub on and off over the years. Never got around to going though. Finally visited on a whim over the bank holiday. Lovely old country pub in historic village, good range of indoor and outdoor spaces. Large garden. Has a good atmosphere. The beer was, on this occasion, Amstel. Food looked excellent so went back the next day for some of that. Yes. All excellent. Pulled pork quesadilla a particular hit. Wondering now what the roasts are like 🤔

We had a wonderful time on Sunday, celebrating a birthday , the food was delicious and lots of it...real home cooked food. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The atmosphere friendly and relaxed good country decor and well looked after. Garden was well maintained with plenty of seating...Our elderly Aunty came over unwell, and we were looked after by the new manager and her team. We will defiantly go back, this will be a regular venue to visit and we highly recommend it. Excellent!
