Lovely food and great friendly service as always ....never had a bad meal here in 2 years ( sometimes 3 times a week) and my dogs were welcome too.
Lovely meals off of the lunch time menu. Smaller portion which suits my Mum and Dad, and ourselves for lunch. Warm welcome and great service from the staff. Hadn't been there for many years, and was pleasantly surprised. Inside the dining area was warm and comfortable. The place was reasonably busy. Will definitely revisit.
We enjoyed our visit. We (2 of us) arrived at 12:00 for lunch (on a Tuesday) and were glad to have reserved a table. The food was good (I had a rump steak which was very tasty, and super chips) and the staff lovely. It was very busy by the time we left, but we were not rushed in any way. We are definitely going to return. Dog-friendly.
We have been here a few times and the food is always amazing...it was a warm day when we visited in a group of 9 and we were sat in the conservatory part of the restaurant, the view was beautiful but it was just so hot with the sun blaring through the roof, maybe some air conditioning in the future would be a welcome addition. Also it was also very busy, with the gorgeous weather everyone wanted to sit outside by the canal but there seemed to be only one person serving food and drink on the restaurant side so there was quite a big queue..not a criticism as we love the pub and will be back
Friendly staff. Food very good. We ordered from the "Lighter Lunch Menu". We were visiting with my husband's parents who being pensioners do not eat large meals. The Lighter Menu was adequate for lunch for all of us. Me and my Father in Law had the Gammon and my Husband and Mother in Law the Hunter's chicken. Very nice! Followed by the fudge cake and the sponge pudding. Inlaws had specified a pub next to the canal for lunch and this fit the bill perfectly. Will definately be calling in for lunch again.
Had a meal and drinks at this canalside pub. It was lovely not expensive but worth it and to a good standard. Even when the 25% off was on the standard of food did not fall. Bar staff are always friendly and helpful
First time calling in for lunch & a drink.Immediately thought it was very pretty by the canal with plenty of outdoor seating. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming inside. We had lovely pub food which was a good price & didn't have to wait too long.Service was with a smile & drinks were lush.Would highly recommend for a cosy lunch either families or couples.
Nice local pub by pretty canal. Staff very helpful. Excellent value for money. Good quality pub meals. Well done everyone as it was busy.
Excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. The Broughton is always our pub of choice for meals out and family gatherings as you can guarantee that the service and food will be excellent.
Excellent polite service from the bar and waiting on staff. And amazing food that came from the kitchen
An all round pleasant experience at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be returning and I will fully recommend to family & friends.
We were shown our table, and tried using the app you can scan to order meals. Not all options were on the app, so we ordered at the bar. The starters took a while to arrive, but the pea and mint soup was worth the wait, though a very small portion. After another wait, came the lasagne and my husband's sirloin - both delicious!
Visited a couple of times previously, sat outside with the dogs, lovely next to the canal. Went today for a late dinner, had the bbq Chicken, Bacon and Cheese baguette served with chips. Excellent food for the price. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will return.
We reserved a table for my son’s birthday and had a fantastic meal as always. The service was top class again as it usually is and as I am a coeliac and can’t eat any food containing gluten they have a separate menu and I have never had an problems following eating here which is a testament to their ability to prepare food without any cross contamination. A big thumbs up to the Broughton Arms at Rode Heath 👍👍

We had an excellent meal with the family tonight. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous. Would recommend this pub to anyone!
We broke our journey down south by stopping over in our campervan, having booked a table for 7:30pm. We found a warm welcome, good grub and perfect location. The canal sides location was beautiful and the dog had two good walks along the towpath.
The food was excellent, best fish, chips & mushy peas was so fresh & tasty, so lightly battered. The spicy burger with fries was so nice too!. I would recommend this pub to anyone who likes to go out on a Saturday afternoon for drinks & meals.
Staff were polite and friendly . Was extremely busy we were informed before
ordering that there would be about 30 minutes wait for food which gave us the option to wait or go elsewhere, we chose to order. Food arrived within the expected time scale. Even though kitchen was extremely busy food was well cooked and very tasty and no complaints on price. Will certainly visit again.
stopped over in our van for the night, pre arranged.
very busy at 7.15pm , just about got the van in.
managed to get a table and drinks before food stopped around 8.00.
no starters. just 2 mains and they were ok, typical pub grub.
2 wines 13 quid and a lager at about a fiver.
lovely courtyard by side of the canal.
we will return as we loved the location, the pub and the courtyard.
they dont serve breakfasts.
thanks
A walking group end of year lunch. Good location on the canal. Service excellent food very good and well presented. Plenty of parking. General decor and toilets looking a bit tired.
Guide busy, but it was a Friday night, excellent service and food, huge 'Atlantic' cod.great value and good beer from a Marston's pub.
Pet friendly too, lots of water bowls.
