This place is awesome, the view is stunning. We only had drinks but staff were very helpful and drinks ice cold at a brilliant price
Stopped for A beverage here what a great place. Frendly and helpful staff good selection of drinks, had a well priced turmeric and ginger tea, partner had Moroccan mint, both unusual but lovely. Sat on the veranda and enjoyed the sunny weather
Situated next to the ferry stop we ate on the balcony overlooking the sea. Lunch was fine my Halloumi Salad a little one dimensional with mostly rocket and red pepper, I'd have preferred a little more variety! Chips good. Service was great and good atmosphere.
As tourists we entered the place and sat and stared at the staff to be seated, asked for a menu, they left us with it and left..we were in front of the door. Maybe next time we will actually stay for food. Not a good impression but the venue looks pretty.
We were lucky to get a table. Thanks Jeremy. The food was to die for. Good pint of tribute. Excellent customer service. Great view across to Padstow.
We had everything going for us this time. A car park with spaces, a car park machine that worked, beautiful warm sunshine and a few steps away, a friendly welcome and a front table on the Rock Inn's balcony overlooking the estuary. We had a very nice cream tea and a panini, a glass of wine and a coffee. Much nicer than fighting the hoards in Padstow. Recommended.

There's not much going on in the village of Rock, Cornwall. It is a place many tourists go through on their way to Polzeath Beach, via the ferry from the much busier and much more attractive Padstow. There's not even much of the rock quarry visible that gave the place its name. So IF you're heading to Rock, why not stop at this rather nice restaurant which offers brilliant views of the bay.
The menu is split into three time schedules, breakfast, lunch (12 to 6 p.m.) and dinner (after 6). The range is a bit higher key than the usual pub grub, and the chicken breast (topped with bacon and cheese) I opted for was rather nice indeed.
The beer range is limited, especially on the hand-pumps - similar to the Rock Road Bar & Grill which inhabits the same building - and they may indeed be one item. Korev and some international lagers are available though.
The view is indeed splendid and the staff were really nice when I visited. The outside seating can be covered, but it was not on this rather warm and sunny June day.
Since there are very few alternatives here, I'd give The Rock Inn thumbs up. There is truly no real reason to go to Rock in the first place, but this one might be it.
Lovely place, what a view! Good service and good food. Slightly overpriced but all in all good.
Lovely, stunning a great place to spend the day when visiting padstow, a 5min ferry trip across, the water.
Had a lovely meal here just after it had re-opened after the Coronavirus lockdown. The wife had a vegetarian Thai curry, which she said was really good. I had the Chicken pie - a puff pastry top with a good amount of large chunks of chicken in a great sauce - I think it was chicken and leek. The vegetables that were served with it were really well cooked and fresh. The chips were really good too. The other guys had scampi and chicken burgers - all of which looked really nice. I had a pint of Cornish pale ale which was very refreshing. Staff wore masks and screens had been fitted between tables, so they had obviously done some good prep work to make the place safer. All mains were about £14-£16 unless you were going for steak, etc. Highly recommend the place.
