This was a lovely place to visit. We weren't too sure what to expect, but from the moment we walked in we felt welcome. We were quickly greeted by a busy man behind the bar, he was very friendly and explained he wouldn't keep us waiting long and would be with us as soon as he could. He was very polite and friendly. We were served by another member of staff, as she was free first. She explained we could sit wherever we wanted and that there were plenty of tables upstairs, if we would prefer and that we could order our food at the bar or on the app. We ordered our drinks and took them upstairs. We decided to order on the app, which was very easy to do. We had the turkey roast dinner and it was delicious!! The waitress that brought this over, asked if she could get us anything else, including extra gravy. We asked for extra gravy and some mint sauce, which she was more than happy to get for us. All in all we were very happy with the whole experience and will absolutely be coming back here again. The only thing that was disappointing was that they had no pigs in blankets, but this will not stop us coming back! I visited the ladies before leaving and was pleasantly surprised. The toilets are nothing special but they are clean, smell nice and have the added touch of having an essentials basket by the sink. Very thoughtful.

Update: went again today - had lamb shank, and the best desert ive tasted - hige version of a Custard Creme!
Staff and service were spot of too. Prices fair. Well done Tommy, Sue and Kirk!
My first visit for many years - with friends too. We were all impressed with our meals! Delicious! My roast turkey was complete with cauliflower cheese and crispy Yorkshire. Really tasty, and so reasonably priced! Service was brisk, staff polite, 10 / 10 recommended!

Bar staff are rude , waited 30 minutes for drinks which I ordered which I had to go get my self from the bar , was given half a pint of coke because they had no pint coke glass??? Makes sense right ?
The only saving grace was Emily the manger who come over and listened to the problems and put things right , Emily is a asset to the pub compared the rude old lady behind the bar who spoke to us rude. Server loves to come up with every excuse under the sun
We have had 2 lovely Sunday roasts here in last couple weeks. The food is so lovely-it’s my new favourite!
A good portion and lots selection veg. Plenty roast pots and massive Yorkshire. Served quickly and really enjoyable time.
The staff are so friendly-especially the Irish man who calls us Dear 😂

Come here for a quick Sunday roast, the place was busy but fortunately we were able to be squeezed in seeing as we were only a small table of 2. Service was great, Tommy went out of his way for us to ensure we had a drink at hand and our food efficiently. Will definitely be coming here again on another Sunday!
We went for a meal on Thursday evening for the first time here. From our arrival to the end of the evening we were given excellent service by the staff. The food was lovely and very well presented.
The atmosphere and decor is very nice. We had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend.
Well done to all of the staff who work very hard to make sure everyone is happy.
Had a very enjoyable meal here on a Thursday lunchtime, the quality of the food was very good. Only slight negative would be that we had a longer wait for the food to be delivered than we would have liked.
Tommy was our waiter and he was very lovely, kind. Service was quick, made us feel very comfortable. The food was lovely and come out altogether. Portion size was spot on and all round really good service. Highly recommend!
Really nice pub/restaurant with friendly staff. Unfortunately the last few visits have let it down. Hunters chicken was incredibly dry, in-fact tough to cut. Had to wait 40 minutes for 1 simple desert, we walked out in the end (it came out as we were paying!) plus 2 completely flat cokes.
That being said, previous visits were great, reasonably priced food which is usually really nice.
A meal for four at lunchtime. Great service from Tommy, Charley and Janine. Reasonable menu choices, mini camembert and soup starters recommended. Fish and chips, lasagne and schnitzel all nice hot tasty meals. Two for one on some main courses gives excellent value.
Finished with mini desserts and coffee. Will be back and have already booked for Christmas Festive Meal.
Overall, a very good pub in the Greene King group, recommended 😊👍
Nice food and friendly service.

Found ourselves a table on arrival.
Ordered food at the bar.
A few people arrived at the same time so someone else came over to serve to keep the queue minimal.
Starters arrived within 10 minutes so that was good.
Main course followed on around 10-15 minutes after.
Food was really good.
Reasons why 4 star, not 5:
•Menus were all filthy.
•Cutlery was all just sitting in the holder on the table with finger prints on.
•Drinks were over 50% ice - In fact the pint glass was completely full with ice before the coke was added.
•Tried to use the app to order but not all is listed on the app. Example you can only buy large fizzy drinks on the app, no regular.
Our supper club ate there last night. What a pleasant change. We were served by the deputy manager. So please not and Efficient. Food was good and the group noticed the change. Keep it up. Val

From walking in the door the staff were so welcoming.
I have a dairy allergy and asked what I could have. I can't believe how they went out their way to show me what I could have.
Well the food was absolutely delicious.
We were a party of 4 and we all loved the food, the staff and the lovely surroundings.

Our waitress Janine was lovely, told us all about the specials on offer today and was very polite and helpful. Food was lovely and there wasn't a long wait for food even though it was busy.
It was our mother-in-laws birthday yesterday and we booked a table for 8 of us. The food was brilliant and the atmosphere was made all the better with the fantastic service by Sue. She went above and beyond to make the birthday celebrations go really well, adding to the fun by helping us with a birthday cake and photos of us as a group, whilst ensuring that our meals were brought out on time and were very tasty.
So impressed... from booking to finish all we got was fantastic friendly service. We were made to feel so welcome, as was our dog who was given a bowl of water and some lovely doggy treats and made a fuss of by everyone.
The food was absolutely delicious. All four of us were impressed with our food and said how delicious it was and also that it was a good fair price for the quality and quantity. The staff helped with a member of our party who has an allergy and we honestly felt that nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff that we dealt with.
We are down here on holiday and if we have another meal out we will definitely return here
