Went to Rochester today and fancied a roast for lunch while we were there, Google suggested this place ....we hadn't booked but they very kindly let us have a table. The food was lovely & plenty of it and the staff were all very friendly - would def recommend a visit but would book 1st. My only 1 n
Lunch during a day trip with family. Couldn't fault the service and the food was also exactly as described, good and good value. Fairly busy outside but parts of this could be spruced up and it would be good if people could sit outside to eat on a hot day, (the reason we chose this place) without c
One of the Greene King pubs. Usual pub food and they taste ok. Very reason priced drinks and food if you are after the quick food and drinks .Friendly staff. A couple of customers sitting next to us swore a lot but apart from that all fine. They play sports in the pub. Free 2 hours parking nearby.
I only popped in quickly but really liked it and hope to go.back to add the last star. Friendly service, good selection and a really nice beer garden with great views.
This is a great pub to meet friends and family for food and drinks. There is a beer garden and dogs are allowed as long as you're outside. The atmosphere is welcoming with friendly, helpful staff.
Great place for a weekend. It may get packed but the service is always really quick! Cannot fault it.
Came in for a hot lunch and some drinks, the staff were friendly and helpful, food was great although I’d recommend checking the portion sizes as we had enough to feed ourselves twice over! Food was delicious and they had some afternoon entertainment outside which was nice. If I had any recommendati

Inside is not a quaint historic pub, as you may think. more a large functional area for food & drink. That said the light lunch we had, BLT in white bagget & bacon potato skins, were excelle
We like coming here on a weekend night. Generally good live music and a great atmosphere. Decent-sized dance floor. Don't often see trouble, but when it occurs it is dealt with quickly, without spoiling the night for everyone else. Some good offers on drinks too. One downside is the fact they sha
Lovely afternoon here today, carvery was great plenty of food would recommend, 12, 2 or 4pm sittings. Great service from staff everyone works hard. Lovely setting in the garden, great castle and cathedral views
Nice area outside to sit, with a nice view of the castle. Food is reasonably priced and we enjoyed what we had.. I found the drinks to be a bit pricey though. Toilets were clean and regularly checked. My only real moan is that we ordered and paid for the food and only then were we told that the chef
