Deaf Cat Coffee is a quirky and cosy cafe in Rochester, opposite the cathedral. They have their own unique blend of coffee, roasted locally, and a variety of cakes, sandwiches, and snacks. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is quick and efficient. The cafe has a nice atmosphere, with art and books on display. They also have outdoor seating, which is great for sunny days. I always have the peach iced tea, which is really refreshing and tasty. They sell two kinds of iced tea, tonic and joe tea bag, both of which are delicious. I would highly recommend Deaf Cat Coffee to anyone who loves coffee, tea, or art.

Cafe serving premium coffee, teas, hot chocolate etc. Plus cold drinks and various baked and cakes.Located in Rochester High St.
Medium sized seating area with some soft seating plus tables and chairs. A couple of small tables outside.
Inside they have collections of tea and coffee pots on the wall, it's dimly lit which kind of gives it a cozy feeling. My dark chocolate mocha was very enjoyable. I didn't have anything to eat on this occasion but have tried cake there before and found it good.

We enjoyed our frappes. Atmosphere and decor is original and it's a very pleasant environment. Service is friendly and good. We will definitely come here again on a day trip to Rochester.

If you're looking for a coffee shop in Rochester make sure you stop here! Premium tasting coffee, an array of sandwiches and cakes and quality service to boot! As a regular customer I can say without a shadow this is the place to come whether its to sit and read your book, work or if your out with the family. This is a coffee shop with character!

Great coffee, better music
The staff there are very nice and friendly. Quite on top of things and well-organised. The vegan options are pretty good, including a really delicious vegan cheese panini (we shared 3 between the 2 of us because they were so good), and vegan options for drinks. The best thing about this place is the 90s alternative music - great songs. I'm constantly getting distracted from my conversation by the intro to one of my favourite songs 😁

Friendly staff at a cute location, good music not too loud. I predominantly drink Espresso, and would say it's strong and a tad bitter, but better than other chain coffee shops. Some simple but good sandwich and drinks selections. The seating could been improved for aesthetic, but overall a good choice to stop for a coffee and my go-to if I'm in town.

Easily the best coffee shop in Rochester. I always pop in for tea and cake when I'm passing. Lots of tasty vegan and vegetarian options available too. Staff are lovely, always friendly and welcoming.

Been a few times. Coffee shops are expensive really but you know the deal and they've always got nice cakes, savouries and pastries.
Pleasant service and nice surroundings. Less raucous than many others. I like that

I have a disability and the wonderful staff were very helpful and accommodating. Wonderful range of food and beverages and tables outside to enjoy the sunshine and the scenery historic Rochester has to offer. By far the most beautiful and friendly Cafe in Rochester high street and amazing staff that are happy to help. Well done all at Deaf Cat 🐈 from Lucky

Always a nice place to get a nice coffee and soak up the atmosphere of Rochester High Street. Served by the lovely Bex, and watched as he and the other guy just got stuck in with everything ordered. It was a busy afternoon and they just got on with their orders, whether it was takeaway beverages or in store.

We went to the Deaf cat as I hate the costa chain.
I am gluten intolerant and I actually had 3 lovely cakes to chose from my latte was great and my daughter had a toasted panini and a brownie. Staff we vigilant with my intolerance and said about cross contamination top Mark's all round will go back thankyou.

The coffee really was excellent if a little expensive. Unfortunately the WiFi was non existent whilst we were there and although the café was not particularly busy, most tables had evidence of previous customers purchases. Cups and plates were not cleared away nor were tables cleaned. I guess it must just have been a bad morning as I can't imagine that it would normally be like that.

I had a Caramel frappe with coffee and cream £3.50 was very very very tasty and didn't last me 5 minutes ! Will now be a firm favourite ! Served quickly by a friendly young man on a busy Saturday afternoon . Perfect 👌

Amazing little coffee shop just opposite the cathedral. Always have lovely, attentive staff on who are more than happy to help. The coffee and hot chocolates are delicious and not overpriced like some coffee chains are. The cakes are tasty with something for everyone. This place has a lovely homely feel and you are not packed in like sardines. Very small outside seating but it's perfect in the summer.

Fab coffee, great decor but very loud barista noises. And why don't the management stop people with laptops hogging the comfy chairs and window seats, taking up to four chairs for one person?

Lovely clean looking coffee shop. Was cold, had to keep my coat on throughout lunch. We ordered BBQ chicken and cheese panini from the fridge to be heated up, but had to return mine as the chicken in the middle of the sandwich was still cold. Was warmed through and returned, so good to eat but didn't get an apology, which was disappointing.

Brilliant little coffee shop. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was great and the cappuccino was exceptional. Will definitely go back when I’m next in Rochester.

Absolutely awesome coffee shop with super friendly staff. I hope to visit again next time I visit Rochester. Their Latè is one of the best I had in my time.

Was fed up with high priced mediocre coffee and no service at chain coffee shops.
This place has a great atmosphere, HOT coffee and great staff.
Get there early to nab the cozy chairs in the back corner.
Will definitely be heading back!

Popped in on a recommendation and so glad I did, such a great place, coffee was a good as the warm and friendly staff.. Certainly will be heading there on a regular basis from now on :)

Lovely sandwich and frappe. Only downside was that lady serving should have tied back her hair, she was repeatedly pushing it off her face with her hand.

Warm & friendly & individual. We always gravitate towards this place like a favourite lounge. The cappuccino foam holds the wee mountain of sugar perfectly.

Great little cafe. Nice coffee, friendly staff and great cakes.
