We were part of a large family gathering for lunch. The landlord and staff were very accommodating and patient. Good selection of beers, well kept. Many thanks for making it such an enjoyable day.
Traditional historic public house with many centuries-old original fittings and fixtures. Wide choice of well-kept cask ales. Serves food. Accepts card payments. I was surprised how popular it was for the time of visit - clearly a popular venue for those in the know. Easy walk from Rochester Castle.
Excellent traditional English pub. Well kept beer and a wonderful atmosphere. I wish we had such a pub in Alverstoke.
Haven't had food here yet but have enjoyed a few excellent ales in this 16th century pub with friends. Staff friendly and welcoming, especially Beau the dog, who enjoys playing ball in the beer garden.
One of the very best pubs in Rochester. The building dates back centuries and has bags of atmosphere. The staff and landlords are super friendly and there's a great selection of beers.

Oldest pub in the Southeast. The beers were great and hlthe Sunday roast very good! (Book in advance). The staff was friendly and overall a great place to go to when visiting Rochester.
