Only found out about this place when it popped up on one of my FB groups, went today, food was fantastic, my second favorite P&M shop only because I grew up with Kelly's on Bethnal Green road, polite, friendly staff. Only niggle, put the white pepper on the tables. look forward to going again.

Great meal. Just like real "East End" pie and mash and liquor. The un-educated members of the family were content with thick gravy but I had to have the liquor which was great. Will definitely come again

We had pies and liquor as a takeaway option. The pies were lovely, liquor had a great taste too. We will definately be back again for anothef takeaway or might stay to eat next time. The staff were friendly & chatty especially to our 4 year old son who incidently polished off a pie to himself.

As a Londoner who grew up eating pie and mash always a bit wary of how it will be outside of London and omg it was bloody lovely! Even when I brought it this morning and warmed it up tonight and it was delicious and not dried out at all! Staff friendly and helpful and next time want to sit in as looks so nice. Really recommend and will be back:)

Was in earlier today (4th) as a first visit. Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed the pie and mash! My Dad had jellied eels () for take away. He says they are much better than the eels he gets at his pie and mash shop in Lewisham! A well deserved 5 review, keep up the good work

The best Pie N Mash this side of East London. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to pie n mash. Don't normally go to shops out side of East London but due to moving to Kent have recently ventured to a couple including this one. The other being Flo's in Crayford. I can honestly say Cathedral is the better but only just. Belly is full after having a 2+2. Keep up the good work. I'll definitely be back. Thank You

First time in the pie and mash shop on the high street. Authentic pie and mash isn't easy to find, lots of pretenders and tryers around Kent. Some come close but not quite there. Was in the Rochester area so thought I'd try. I spoke to the young man about his recipe and was impressed but even more so when I got my plate of 2 pies, single mash and liquor. I was very impressed with the whole meal. Excellent pies, liquor and mash as you'll see in my photo. Will definately eat here again and have told family and friends to try.

I've wanted to try this place for ages, two visits in two days says it all. Excellent pies, liquor really traditional, the mash brilliant. I enjoyed the hot eels, not so keen on the jellied. I also took a takeaway. One of the best if not the best I've been too.

Super tasty pie and mash. Brought my mum here for a birthday lunch. Pies were beautiful a nice crunch on the outside, full of meat and soft base. Mash the smoothest fresh mash I've eaten in a pie and mash shop(that's alot!) And liquor was perfect! Ignore the previous review about the pie tasting like cat food what a load of rubbish. It was absolutely beautiful the chilli vinegar was on point. Owners friendly, chatty and doing a fantastic job from one business to another keep it up 👏 Thanks again.

slightly above average for price but well above average for the pie and mash. the portions are large so good value for money. a great p&m shop for those who live outside the eastend.

Bit hit and miss had it about 10 times since moving, sometimes the mash is a little too smooth and tastes a bit like smash ( I believe it is made fresh ) Other times it has a few lumps and more akin to regular pie and mash shops. Liquor is bang on Chilli vinegar is a bit of a let down don't really get much chilli from it. Pies 9/10 have been brilliant can't fault them inside the pie is already seasoned so go easy of the salt..... but for a local one to Kent it's probably the best I've had around here.

Something different about the pie and mash today. The pie base was under done and potatoes not the same
