Cathedral Pie House - Rochester - Photo album

First time in the pie and mash shop on the high street. Authentic pie and mash isn't easy to find, lots of pretenders and tryers around Kent. Some come close but not quite there. Was in the Rochester area so thought I'd try. I spoke to the young man about his recipe and was impressed but even more s
I've wanted to try this place for ages, two visits in two days says it all. Excellent pies, liquor really traditional, the mash brilliant. I enjoyed the hot eels, not so keen on the jellied. I also took a takeaway. One of the best if not the best I've been too.
Great pie & mash house I highly recommend you pay them a visit when in Rochester. Cash only though so go prepared.
A delightful place for a pie and mash. Excellent sauce and cheap prices.
Had a lovely pie, mash and eels here on a nice Saturday afternoon. Tastes great and was a good start to the day before having a few pints. Highly recommend!
Super tasty pie and mash. Brought my mum here for a birthday lunch. Pies were beautiful a nice crunch on the outside, full of meat and soft base. Mash the smoothest fresh mash I've eaten in a pie and mash shop(that's alot!) And liquor was perfect! Ignore the previous review about the pie tasting lik
slightly above average for price but well above average for the pie and mash. the portions are large so good value for money. a great p&m shop for those who live outside the eastend.
Unarguably the best pie and mash I've had since our last visit to Manze in Deptford. Great food and a great owner. Cant give enough stars .
Proper traditional pie and mash. Really good. Been 5 times.
The best pie and mash ever. Lovely restaurant, friendly staff. The best food.
Bit hit and miss had it about 10 times since moving, sometimes the mash is a little too smooth and tastes a bit like smash ( I believe it is made fresh ) Other times it has a few lumps and more akin to regular pie and mash shops. Liquor is bang on Chilli vinegar is a bit of a let down don't really g

Without a doubt the best and fairest priced food on Rochester high st . Staff are very friendly and tables are always clean . Would highly recommend go on tuck in .

I've been waiting to try this place for a bit and managed to get here today. We'll worth the 30 mile drive. Its up there with London's best. Absolutely gorgeous.
Something different about the pie and mash today. The pie base was under done and potatoes not the same
