The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. The hosts are very knowledgeable about real ales and the food is excellent. A treat every time. The music events are a joy to take part in and the place is becoming a Mecca for the best musicians in the area. There is a gallery space where local artists can have regular exhibitions. There is a real sense of community which Cyril and Mel have created and continue to foster. It is undoubtedly the best place to spend your time in the Medway towns. Ps I don’t drink but am offered lemon verbena tea gratis when we visit.

We finally managed to get down for a Sunday Roast yesterday and it was certainly worth the wait! A very generous plate with melt in your mouth lamb and a fabulous array of veg to go with. Desserts were to die for and the hospitality is second to none. Will certainly be making this our permanent Sunday roast haunt. Definitely want to come back with out the child to enjoy some live music and some more of the delicious elderflower cider. Lots of Love Flake n’ Bake xxx

This place is unique. I could tell you how good the the beers are, I could recommend some ciders, but there is so much more to this place, it's about the welcoming feeling when you walk through the door. It's the friendly atmosphere, the sense of community and camaraderie. Try the food, you won't find better locally, you will be hooked, you will return time and time again. The Frog is unique, experience it and you will know what I mean once you've come for a pint.

Great little micro bar full of charm. There is a nice micro beer garden and a table and chairs out the front if you wish to sit in the sun enjoying one of the fine local ales or ciders. The owners are warm and welcoming and the list of traditional ciders and ale are plentiful. There is also a selection of wines . The food looks amazing but we have not as yet eaten there, but intend to . Highly recommend

I stopped going to pubs year ago. I was tired of the noise, binge culture, uncomfortable atmosphere. The Flippin Frog however is something completely different! This stunning micro pub offers a safe and delightful haven for anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious meal or a local brew in a wonderful atmosphere. Locals smile at you, the owners talk to you, stunning musicians will dazzle you and on a Sunday the whole place sings along! Melanie and Cyril are reminding us all what a pub should really be: a safe, happy, community space. Thank you so much. You’ve genuinely reminded me how much fun it is to go out. Love to you xxxx

Have started using his place a lot, it is so quirky, so friendly and welcoming, it reminds me of what a pub used to be, where everybody would chat to everybody else, with that in mind, it is just great not to have to see people sitting there even as couples , groups and individuals with their heads stuck in there bloody phones, conversation is great :) Tried the food there this Friday, and those Flippin Frogs can cook, wow! wow!, the Mussels and Frites, done 2 ways, were the best I have ever had, I believe the whole lot was sold on the night, and punters still wanted more. Places like this are the future of pubs I feel, love it!

Well thank you to Mel and Cyril for the most warmest of welcomes. A very wonderful and unique dining experience just to start. They have a very nice selection of local ales and gins ;-) Certainly a hidden treasure down in the Medway area. It took me a while to get down there from Berkshire but was well worth the trip and Monsieur Le Beasty will be back :-) They both work very hard and really look after their guests in a nice relaxed atmosphere and some interest artwork on the walls which is for sale. BTW well done on our first birthday :-)

A great little pub with excellent beer and quite nice gin. Very friendly atmosphere with locals who can understand northerners. Also an obedient dog who will chase a ball once removed from between her powerful jaws. Great outside space too.

Fantastic micro pub, very unique in the fact that the kitchen, bar and seating area are the same room giving a delightful aroma of the amazing freshly cooking food. The bar is usually well stocked with local and micro brewery ciders, beers and also wines. This establishment is run by a very friendly French staff this is reflected in the name and general theme of the interior. There isn't too much seating, or space to stand but I would definitely recommend a visit!

A little gem. A place where you can have a good conversation, view original art work and join in with a sing song, at a jam session, if you so wish! Their regular acoustic nights are well worth a visit. Just what a good pub should be, somewhere to connect with the locals and make new friends. Great food and ales too.

Love this place. Best food in Rochester, only been open a while and we have suddenly adopted it as our second kitchen. Cyril and Melanie are great hosts and we love the food! Good French food has been sorely lacking until now. This place really caters for foodies and real ale locals to boot. But please don't come as there are only a limited number of tables and I have a hungry wife to feed. Ps. Did I mention the food?

Cosy little micropub away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but still busy. Unusual to have an open kitchen serving crepes and other stuff (I didn't see the menu). And they have an amazing pub dog too. It will wanna eat you food though. Good beer selection and good atmosphere.

A bit out if the way but an excellent watering hole with excellent friendly staff & a good selection of real ales. Wine also available but without doubt beer is the biggest attraction. Not a big place......would call it cosy!! We stayed & didn't bother moving on. It was great!

The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, and the beer is local and has never disappointed. Again, very reasonably priced too. Friendly atmosphere and good vibes. The owners are crazy, but extremely welcoming, friendly people

Very friendly establishment selling real ales, ciders and a few gins. Food is excellent and reasonably priced, and veggies and vegans are catered for as a matter of course. Live music (acoustic) is played by local artists every week (normally Tuesdays), and there is a regular jam session on Sundays. Each month a local artist or photographer uses the walls to exhibit their work, so there's a changing decor.
