After reading the single bad review I felt I had to leave a review myself. I have just returned from a lunch time visit to this wonderful cafe. The food was delicious, I had homemade Welsh Rarebit and a pot of tea. The food was made in front of me and took no time at all. Anne the owner is very pleasant and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for her,she is happy to have a chat too. You don't get that in Costa! It was like going to your Nans for tea! The atmosphere is pleasant, lots of 40's memorabilia to look at. I was treated to a lovely floral cup and saucer, with a matching tea plate too. It's a long time since I had a pot of tea with a tea cosy, pot of milk, sugar bowl. It brought back happy memories. Very cosy indeed. The assortment of cakes looked delicious too. There are also lots of various handmade items for sale that you won't find anywhere else. What more can you expect from a 40's cafe? I'd recommend it. Certainly a lovely place to take in the 40's era. A very pleasant place to visit.

Visited with my girlfriends for afternoon tea - just perfect. Fabulous food (better sandwiches than 5* London hotels, super fresh & generously filled) beautiful crockery & tea service, all in a marvellously vintage atmosphere with warm, friendly, chatty but never intrusive service. Thank you. Will be back soon! 💗

Visited this quaint 1940's Tea room today, brings back memories of the early 60s for me with things that my grandparents had and days out with them in tea rooms years ago, well worth a visit and they can do birthday parties for young and old, my take my Mum for her 80th birthday next year.

I visited today with a friend for tea and cake and it was so lovely and nostalgic with Glenn Miller playing in the background. Fabulous hospitality from Anne and everything is homemade. I loved the vintage china and the hand knitted tea cosy. A true gem in Rochester. Thank you and keep up the good work!

This genuinely one of the nicest tea rooms I have ever been to. The 1940's theme is superb, so much to look at! Went for High tea for Mothers Day today and it was lovely. The best sandwiches all made with fresh local produce and made upon arrival with the offer of more if needed. Lots of scones too and of course unlimited tea. Anne you made us all feel welcomed and valued. Can't wait to see you again xx

Lovely afternoon tea. The owner is very friendly and clearly very proud of the quality of the ingredients she sources. She made a huge fuss of my son and bent over backwards to ensure we were well catered for. Great value, would thoroughly recommend!
