Went for the burger knights menu, had the Jamaican chicken burger in a gluten free Bagel instead of the bun. Way better than normal gluten free options and really enjoyed my food.
Had our Xmas/hen here and the food and service was amazing. I had been prior which is why I booked for the Xmas menu. Both visits have been most enjoyable and the staff are fab. Would recommend to anyone who is tempted, its lush �
I have eaten here on more than one occasion and have found this excellent. I have often enjoyed a lunch with my mum and she and I are always pleased. I would tell James if I thought it was less than what I have come to expect, but it hasn't been necessary as the food and coffee here is great. I would recommend you try the onion rings which I still believe are the best in Kent

As a Rochester resident, I'm ashamed to admit I didn't even know this place existed until this morning! Lovely, cosy and welcoming. The staff are lovely and breakfast was amazing! Will definitely be coming back! X �

Lovely burger , I had the Brie and bacon wifey had the five bean chilli ... both huge portions! Not handmade patties but still nice.
Had the trio of sides for £6, again great value.
Then we had freakshakes.... lush ;)
Quite possibly the best place to grab breakfast on a sunday in Rochester.

Visted for first time today with my husband and was very pleased with the wide range of choices available on menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our steak, mushroom and cheese flatbread, really hit the spot!! We will be back. Service was excellent too ��
We were a table of 10, 6 that were vegetarians and there was a good selection on the menu including drinks for all. The food was very nice. We did have an issue with one of the fajita dishes being too over cooked with some of it burnt but the staff were very quick to bring out a new one. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
When they found out we were celebrating a birthday they brought out a dessert with a candle which was a very nice gesture.

From the moment I walked into Quills Restaurant, the experience was outstanding. The staff and owners greeted us warmly with friendly smiles. We did not have to wait long for our food which was so delicious. The chef (who I briefly met) did an stirling job. The staff and waiters kept checking at appropriate intervals. The restaurant is clean, modern with rustic features. Seating is very comfortable. Having been here before over 5 years ago, I asked if the owners were new, they confirmed they had taken ownership in 2018...what a welcome difference. I will definitely return again and again - amazing experience and I highly recommend.
Delicious! The food was simple yet fantastic. We went for olives and hummus to start..all very tasty. For mains I had the rib eye and he had the "meat lover" fajitas. The food was just so spot on. The rib eye was cooked to perfection and had such a beautiful flavour. All 3 meats in the fajitas were cooked in their own flavourful way. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was beautiful. The espresso martini was bang on. Very reasonable prices for wonderful food.
They made us welcome straight away. Good service from all. Tasty food, with reasonable prices. We would go back there again.
If you visit to Rochester, this place is super cool to have a meal while having a chat with your favs. So, calm and quite and it feels so relaxing.
From getting into the restaurant the welcome we were given was so friendly.
Our waitress was so nice and helpful with any questions about the menu we had. She was so lovely.
Our food when turned up it was really tasty and looked amazing.

After 3+ visits to the venue, I am in every right to say the service is excellent and the food is delicious. The cheeseburger is top notch and the steak fajita is, well, sizzling! And no, they're not paying me to write to this review, but a discount next time will be welcome! ;)))
UPDATE from June 2023 - food is still good, but they've upped their prices, and the fajita is now over £18 which is steep, all things considered. Other main courses are around £15, except for the steak (around £23), so what used to be £10-20 per person is now easily £20-30 pp. Other than that, it's a pleasant venue with decent food.
Extensive menu, almost too big which made me concerned the food may not be all that great when trying to provide such a large choice, but I need not have worried.
We had 4 different meals though with starters and dessert and they were all really good. We've also been for breakfast a year or so ago which was also good.
Prices are what you'd expect for the location, certainly not cheap but a fair reflection or the location and quality of food. Staff were very friendly as well, so an all round excellent experience.
Admittedly my friends and I came to Rochester to eat at a different restaurant but we didn't book and couldn't get a table for our party of 8.
One of our group had eaten at The Quills previously and I really wanted a burger so we thought we would try our luck.
So with no booking we walked in and were warmly greeted by Sandra and the other staff who seated us with no trouble.
The restaurant has a great decor and a nice atmosphere and the staff genuinely seem to enjoy their work.
The service was excellent, the food was also very good!
The menu had a great amount of choice without being overwhelming, and my wife who is a vegetarian also had enough of a selection of food options.
I genuinely have no idea how I have missed eating at The Quills before now but I am looking forward to visiting again to try the rest of the menu!

Popped in here for lunch to get out of the rain. We were met with a warm welcome and lovely atmosphere. They were accomodating to the needs of our party which included two babies. There were great vegan options for myself and a high variety of choices for us to all have food that took our fancy. Our server deserves recognition, he was called Daniel, he was wonderful and took a smashing picture of us all at the end too. Great experience, great place to eat!
Last min change of plan and attended here, could not fault it! The service from Fola was impeccable so polite, helpful and attentive. Food was great, super tasty and very good value for money. Really good gluten free options, one of the best brownies I have had in a long time.

Walked in and was greeted in a warm friendly manner, we were shown to a table and served promptly. The food was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed out meal.
However I was put out when it came to pay, that the "tip" was compulsory and at a fixed rate. I prefer to give the staff a tip directly and not pay the company.
I was also put out by the fact the the toilet doors were clear glass and anyone walking past could see everything. No privacy what so ever! Please sort it out....
We popped in here for a bite to eat before going to the candlelight concert at the curb exchange. Staff were attentive and engaging. We had a gluten free/dairy free person in our small group and our server helped with ensuring she was catered for. They have a folder that you check the menu against. Unfortunately she was brought a meal with cheese on it in error but it was swiftly sorted and the staff couldn't apologise enough.
First time her will definitely be back food was lovely chips amazing . We all cleared our plates .
Outstanding. We have been twice now within 1 week because it was so good. Daniel served us first time, and Ella the second time; both charming, attentive and helpful. The food is bursting with flavour, and is reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
A nice hidden restaurant that has some really good food, wide variety of drinks and cocktails too. Burgers are always worth a go when they come in brioche buns. The time for food to come was a bit longer than expected even though it was not busy. Still highly recommended.

Burger, Wraps and Wings were very good. Only the chips are a little bit too bland and maybe could have cooked a little bit longer. Service was really friendly and our wishes were fulfilled. The price feels a little high so I expected a bigger meal (maybe the tasty burger could have been a little bit bigger). Have a Nice Day.
