Beautiful C17th, atmospheric pub, hospitable & friendly staff. Good food plus treats for the dog. Really enjoyed it. Thank you! Will return to visit Upnor Castle (Didn’t see rooms so can’t comment)
Had Sunday lunch, it was excellent, if you value quantity over quality then you will be disappointed, that's not to say portions are small they are not. Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, peas, red cabbage and gravy all cooked beautifully. Rhubarb crumble with fresh c
A truly beautiful hidden gem. We attended a pagen wedding here and it was so relaxed and lovely in the garden. Through the wedding the staff all came and watched which I thought was a lovely touch. There is plenty of seating it's very relaxed clean and staff were all lovely definitely recommend and
We had our wedding reception here on the Good Friday, we had an amazing time, the food was delicious and service was extremely good. Ample servings, could not Fault. Now when we arrived we were told a half hour wait cos they were so busy. So we sat down in deserted garden ordered food straight away. After we had eaten it was still deserted. So where they were too busy came from who knows? Slightly pricey, but very nice.
Visited for a late lunch, got a table, and drinks within 5 minutes. Food ordered and food at the table I'm a timely fashion. Lovely Jubbly The food was lovely and hot 😁
Excellent "local" pub - quite "old style" with a great atmosphere. Good beer and food. Lovely friendly staff. And playing bat & trap in the garden is the icing on the cake.
An amazing meal at an amazing place. Staff super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit. Will be going back very soon. Oh dog friendly also..
The place is in a beautiful setting a stone throw from the quiter side of the river medway. The staff where friendly and the food was very good. It is on the more expensive side but the quality is also higher. My parents expecially loved it and I'm sure you will be seeing them again.
First time visiting and it was lovely, lovely staff food wonderful, look forward to returning very soon. Thankyou tudor rose
Amazing food, friendly staff and beautiful pub. Definitely recommend! 🙂🙂
Great little pub in a beautiful spot. The staff are really friendly and there is beer... and crisps. I'd move in if I could.
Amazing service. Friendly staff and Locals :) Beautifully location with a lovely view. We come in for Sunday lunch last weekend me and my partner were visiting from Portsmouth. My cousin is local to the area and chose to book a table before we headed home (visiting her prem baby in hospital) we had
Only stopped for a drink but the food looked delicious! Will definitely be back for a Sunday roast, I've heard they're the best!
Nice pub, located on the river Medway, next to Upnor Castle. Sat outside on a pleasant evening. Food service ends at 8.30pm.
Lovely pub. Has a great garden with ducks walking around. Food delicious and staff friendly and polite.
Stopped here for lunch with my wife. Sat at table quickly and ordered drinks. Was advised there may be a delay on food as there was a fairly large party already seated. Drinks arrived and food ordered. As advised there was a bit of a delay to bring the food out. Food was very nice, decent sized port
I love this amazing little pub/restaurant. I’d heard so many good reviews and I’ve been a few times now and haven’t been disappointed. The food is always of the best quality (the chips are amazing!!) and the waiting and bar staff are so friendly and welcoming. Absolute gem!!
