My wife and I went here for a meal on a Saturday evening. Staff were very nice, and also very knowledgeable regarding the menu. We had scallops, prawns and pigeon for starters, all were delicious especially the scallops! For main I had the lamb and my wife had the sea bream, again beautiful food. Extremely good value, under £150 for 3 course meal and also a fair few drinks. Lovely evening in a lovely setting, would recommend.
The finest restaurant in Rochester! Highly recommend, excellent service without being too intrusive! Love this place!!!! Xxx
Fantastic meal in great surroundings. Excellent food, well presented, great service - would recommend highly
My partner treated me to celebrate my birthday! We had such a lovely evening! The food was really good especially the steak!! The staff were very caring and offered great service, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for couples who want a quiet dining expierence in a relaxed posh atmosphere!! The only thing that would have topped it off would be to have had a few mints when the bill came!!! Thanks again to all the staff x
Me and my partner went there yesterday, love the mouse bouche, the prawn starter was amaaaaaaazing, and then he have surf and turf and I have half lobster that wasn't on the menu but the chef made it for me and it was just delicious ! The staff was so helpful, we don't have to wait long! All just done in perfection. We sure be back again.
Excellent meal Friday evening, the service was amazing and the food was just incredible. The parmesan & wild mushroom risotto, scallops, rump of lamb with blue cheese dauphinoise potatoes and creme brulee was just gorgeous! Thank you so much.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, nice that the chef & owner came out the kitchen to see if we had enjoyed the meal definitely visit again in the future.
Wonderful menu and meal!! Would highly recommend
Our favorite place in Kent for Olive's B'Day dinner with family. We've done this for many years now when we come to the UK. Great food, excellent wine list, and outstanding staff
Been here a number of times now and always enjoy it. Well worth a visit if you've never been.
AMAZING food would definitely recommend it and definitely visit again. We were in Rochester for my daughter's birthday and wanted somewhere a little special so very impromptu but a great choice
Top class food very nice staff loverly
British cuisine with a touch of an appealing quality. It is not your humble restaurant, as humble as the historic Elizabeth’s restaurant building suggests. There is a sense of prim and properness to the service, food preparation and it’s interior decor.
A soup and bread amuse bouchée whet the appetite before the starter was served. The beetroot fritters were excellent; it was great seeing such an ingenious dish on the menu.
The main, the nut roast, may have lacked a piquant of flavour. It was moist and crumbly, the combination of this with the sautéed potatoes and sides of vegetables made for an enjoyable end to dinner.
Food was amazing! Friendly staff and a wonderful night out.
We really enjoy dining at Elizabeth’s. Every dish we’ve ever tried has been thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We really appreciate knowing the provenance of our food and this is well documented on the menu. Furthermore, the front of house team are knowledgeable about the menu and they are attentive but not intrusive. We prefer the quieter atmosphere of the restaurant to some of the livelier eateries on the high street. It’s always a real treat to visit - thank you Elizabeth’s.
First visit was for their monthly tapas night, cant fault the food or service. Only lost a star as wine in the sub £40 was lacking, the bottle we did have was well worth what we paid though. Surprised it wasnt busier, each dish was cooked to order and perfection.
Was here with my father in law and his friends for a special Christmas dinner and I was very impressed with the attentiveness of the servers and the cosy inviting atmosphere. The food I had was very good and the rest seemed very happy as well. Was a strong 4 stars, but food wise not quite 5. That said, I would strongly recommend this place. And I will be back.
Fabulous food and wine, a little pricey but if you want to go out for a special meal, then this is the place. The Chef gave us a little amuse bouche soup which was super tasty and the portion sizes for starters and main were great. Pudding however was incredible with a huge portion and well put together. The fact that you can also book online is also a great bonus.
Have had the pleasure of using this restaurant since my early twenties and I am now in my fifties, had many a wonderful meal and many New Years Eve celebrations, but my advice would be to book that one early! Was able to dine there in the past couple of weeks for the first time in a long while since returning to the UK.
The food is always first class and the service and attention to detail is second to none, although you can get a two course meal with drinks at around £35 per I would suggest pushing the boat out on a special occasion as the wine list is extensive as is the vintage port, my recommendation would be the the Grahams 1962 Vintage!! Go and indulge you will not be disappointed..
Very nice up market restaurant with very well presented waiters/waitresses. Very polite and very well organised. Food is fantastic and the menu is great with a good selection. All for a very affordable price. Worth trying if only for the experience of dressing up smart and feeling like your a part of a higher class (posh type restaurant) but for a price very unlike a posh type restaurant
