Millcroft Tea Gardens - Rochdale - Photo album

Down to earth.. traditional.. always reminds me of Sunday lunch at my grandma's, 40 or 50 years ago. With meat and salad followed by trifle and a scone, cream and jam.. all washed down with a couple of cups of tea. Leaves me with a warm homely feeling.
Lovely tea gardens frozen in time. The just as I remember it as a child. I only wish it was open all weekend. Great weather coffee and scones and lovely walks in the area.
We had a lovely last minute visit yesterday. Going earlier next time as the potato pie had sold out. Delicious jacket potato though and the best (taste and value) pot of tea I've had for years. Thank you and see you soon.
a lovely hidden gem ,set in a nice spot for walkers.. Food nice ,staff friendly
Because it's simple good food.....bringing back childhood memories. My mother went as a child 80 years, ago and I have taken my family there since they were small! It's not open all year though, so check the opening times. Lovely chicken, chips, fish fingers and all the other things kids (big and sm
Lovely fresh food all home cooked. Menu is quite short on choice, but the quality of the food really does make up for this. Set in a beautiful setting, it's an idyllic escape. Surprisingly busy, considering it's so well hidden away.
A step back in time that is enjoyable and created nostalgia for Sunday tea at my Nan's in the 60s and 70s. Wrap up warm and enjoy great old fashioned café food prepared fresh on site and in lovely wooded surroundings. Can highly recommend their full tea with trifle and their scones are the absolute
Set in lovely peaceful surroundings , Millcroft is one of my favourite places to go for for afternoon tea on Sunday . Good , old fashioned food , always served with a smile . I have been coming here now for over 60 years and the trifle is still one of my favourites .
Had a nice potato pie and cabbage washed down with a pot of tea. Lovely cafe in the middle of the countryside
Mega cute and a huge part of the local history. Parking can be problematic so it's best to park near the playground and walk in. Recommend a pint of tea with a sausage butty!
