Good food, nice locals however not allowed to use your mobile phone inside the pub? Nice old fashioned public house perfect fit if you're traveling alone like I was. WILL BE RETURNING SOON
Visited on a Wednesday the only day it doesn't provide food. Sam Smith's beers which were great. It was a very quiet lunchtime but a welcome couple of beers after a long walk around the reservoirs above the pub.
A Sam Smith pub. Friendly welcome, nice fireplace and open area near the bar. A well enjoyed pint. I would definitely consider trying the a meal out next time I visit as it seemed like a clean and tidy place.
Highly Recommend the customer service and food is spot on turned up last minute after being disgusted with the horse and farrier down the road! Catered for 7 of us Thankyou will definitely be coming again 🫶 already booked for Easter Sunday can’t wait to try the Sunday dinners 😍 Thankyou 💜
A classic pub rather than something over-engineered and hipster. Log fires in the winter, big open area by the bar to keep people mingling and plenty of well priced beers and other drinks on tap. Nice welcoming community feel. Didn't have food but saw a few bits come out of the kitchen and looked he
Excellent home cooked food at very reasonable prices - but take cash as cards not accepted. Also be aware - Sam Smiths pub so no mobile phones can be used inside!
Classic British pub, decent pint and great food all at a reasonable price. This place is full of character and characters. The atmosphere is created by the staff and customers, no loud music or slot machines, just good old conversation. Always a plus for me when there is an open fire.
Try the extra stout, knocks spots off Guinness and a fraction of the price. Chilled out old school pub, always worth a visit. Have been in twice with my two young boys and they were made very welcome, the landlord even set them a colouring in contest to help keep them entertained, cheers!
Called in yesterday after a good walk. Was treated to a very welcoming host who served us good beers and beautiful food. Most recommended
Excellent Sunday lunch today. Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding 4 veg and a huge jug of gravy. £8.95. Good vegetarian alternatives. Cheap drinks. Recommend the stout and the Pure brew lager.
Had a lovely lunch here today after a walk around the reservoirs at Greenbooth in the snow. Very quiet but welcoming. Lovely open fire was much appreciated. Dogs are welcome also.
Loverly friendly pub , and taddys too!
What a little gem. Called in for a quiet drink and a game of darts with hubby and son. Best maths lesson yet. Real pub with real people. Can't wait to try the food.
Nice food at a good price. Digital detox though, no phones etc. Would eat here again.
Very nice meal, not expensive and a polite landlord
