Visited with my twin boys on Friday. We went for the christmas crafts and the boys painted a Santa gnome. They were asked if they wanted to do the reindeer trail (which was free). We had to find the reindeers around the centre and answer questions. We put our answers on the sheet and handed it in. They each got a little goodie bag for completing it. They loved looking around all the christmas decorations. We went in the cafe for cake and ice cream and even got a few last minute bits for xmas. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. They are doing a bird event at the end of January. Will definitely be back for that.

My friend and I visited the Carvery today in Gordon's Bistro. It was very nice with a choice of meat and vegetables. The only criticism is the gravy is too near to people queueing to order non carvery food so had to squeeze in to get some.

Took my son and grandson to see Santa today. The staff were helpful added to the fun asking if the children had been good. My son has special needs and Santa and helpers let us take our time. It was just amazing.

We express our deepest gratitude to Gordon Rigg Garden Centre for their exceptional service and the incredible offer they provided us for our palm trees. The delivery service surpassed all expectations, with a driver who demonstrated unparalleled skill and expertise. The meticulous planning and preparation by the staff to transport these magnificent palms were truly remarkable and awe-inspiring. We extend our sincerest congratulations and heartfelt appreciation to all involved.

Could spend all day in here and we've been coming here for years. 😊 It sells fish for indoor and outdoor. Has a lovely cafe. Has a lovely plant and tree section. Sells animal food such as dog,cat and fish and birds. From dog/cat beds to fish pumps and filters. Outdoor garden furniture from tables to garden pots to firepits Lovely little displays all over of various things from cards to animal ornaments. They do amazing seasonal displays. At Christmas this place is so magical it really is. The staff are super friendly, always willing to help and advise. There is toilet facilities. It does have a carpark. And it's in an easy location.

Considering the current climate my first visit today I queued for 5 minutes I then went back for a second visit and only queued for 15 minutes. The staff were very helpful and polite. I even haggled a price which they thought was a good haggle. I went in this morning and seen a good setup, being VJ Day it was good to see. Well done Guys.

Want to thank publicly the colleague who works there who ( didnt manage to grabb her name) when i filled my trolley went and got a second trolley to help put my purchase of 5 large flower pots in. Came to the till and then to the car and helped pack them tightly in the boot. She then even took both trollies back so I didn't have to. Outstanding customer service thanks again and wish I'd got your name so the centre could forward my thanks.

I came into your garden centre on the 12th July 23 to purchase a hanging basket. I want to say thank you so much to Tracey for taking the time to help me pick one. She is an absolute credit to Gordon Rigg.

Nice little garden centre. But its gone a little bit expensive now. You can get similar quality plants for a lot less at supermarkets now.

Found everything I was looking for, and a new wishlist pet! Who knew musk turtles were so cute. Friendly staff and easy social distancing in place, with regular hand washing and trolley washing stations

I visited this cafe 4 days ago and awarded 5 stars because of a brilliant coffee and cake. Impressed, I returned today for a full English breakfast, which resulted in this edit and a downgrade to only 4 stars. It seems a great place for coffee and cake but not so great for a full meal. I’ve done separate reviews of each. COFFEE & CAKE Nice garden centre with large car park, gifts and seasonal decorations and cafe. The cafe is upstairs, but there is a lift to the right of the customer service desk as you enter. Cappuccino was 3.00, large vanilla slice was 3.10 delivered to table. FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST Looked fantastic on plate, but wasn’t as good as it looked in the eating. The tomato had the look of having been grilled, but was stone cold. The mushrooms looked lovely, but were barely warm. The bacon looked fine, but was cold. The toast was cold. The coffee was lukewarm. This was really disappointing. Would return for coffee and cake, but certainly wouldn’t spend almost ten pound on a lovely looking but poorly cooked breakfast.

Visit here at least once a week to purchase/browse or get ideas. Set over 2 levels with level entry but lift or stairs to bistro for disabled/wheelchair users. Always a wide range of products and prices are always competitive. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Worth a visit.

Good selection of plants, shrubs and trees for this time of year. All internal and external gardening needs seem to be catered for. We had a very nice lunch in the restaurant which had a good choice of foods cooked to order. It did get busy around 12.00 - 12.30.
