Whenever I’m in Rochdale I am drawn to this place I’ve been coming here for over thirty years, I cannot recommend San remo highly enough best breakfasts around 👍👍👍👍
There's not enough proper cafés like this around anymore. Meat pie, chips and gravy was spot on. Worked in and around the area for years and I've been missing out on this gem.
This is the best cafe in Rochdale. The people who serve are the friendliest, funniest, and kindest. The food is wholesome, plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The drinks are good quality and great value.

Been coming since a kid it always has nice food staff are always lovely when their is a mistake or problem the staff are on it and sort it out and is service user friendly for anyone who has clients with disabilities..the food is always spot on 🙂
This is still a great Italian run cafe serving up good English food. Breakfasts, lunches and sandwiches etc. It’s a real mixing pot of people and the welcome and vibe is very friendly. I highly recommend the homemade plate pie chips and gravy. I’ve been going there for 50 years 😅
ticks all the boxes for a proper cafe; nice and deep and spacious too with a back entrance from the bus and tram stations; discovered it when the Wetherspoons nearby was too busy

This place is nothing short of perfect. I've been coming here since I was a kid and the quality of the food is always top notch. The homemade cheese and onion pie is the best you'll ever have. And the chips and gravy are better than anywhere I've ever been.
Very accomodating. We will be here again next season.
I had a roast beef lunch and a sweet for £6.50, which is good value. I'd have awarded 5 stars but the sweet (apple pie with cream) was served cold. Later I saw Bristol Rovers win 2-1 at Rochdale A.F.C. so I left Lancashire a happy man!
I've been going to San Remo for decades and I can put my hand on my heart and say that this proper northern Caff has the best toast you will ever taste. Everytime I visit the north I take a special trip here just to have some.
